It looks particularly good open, but I find that is often true with trenches for the first few wears. They need to soften a bit and settle and then they work better closed as well. I love my lighter trenches in spring and fall, but in winter I need something heavier.</p> <p>I've ordered and sent back a few contenders so far. This is the first real possibility. I had been avoiding this one because I thought I was sized out of the petites with a PL being listed as a 10-12, but after swimming in a few 14's I decided to try this one.</p> <p>It is more stuff than my other trenches. I wonder if this is due it being waterproof?</p> <p>What do you think? I can layer a light jacket or sweater under it, although here I'm just in a tank. </p>
