See, here I was all set to return this top and now I need to reconsider! How could I ignore Angie's opinion? (And Deb's too, 'cause we all know that I adore her style!)

I'll try this on again this weekend and try it styled a few ways. Maybe I just wasn't loving it with that particular pair of trousers.

I'm not seeing what you're seeing:). I love the top on you. The colours would be lovely against your fair skin and hair. It looks great on its own. The purple one is fab, that neckline is lovely, but the teal is equally as good.

I really like this - both pattern, fit and shape. It would be breezy and nice for summer too. But if you're not feeling it... let it go. You said it yourself - no compromises

I like these, K! And find them very appropriate sleeveless attire for a formal law office. Flattering and covered, but sans sleeves.

I think the opposite - less interesting under a jacket but great on their own.

Like the others have said - if you're going to layer it and it fills a wardrobe hole, keep, but otherwise, I think you (and I!) do better with rounded armholes - they give shoulders more shape, IMHO, in a way that is quite flattering.

Return! The purple one is so much better. And as someone whose longest season is summer, tops that require a jacket seem super annoying. I don't remember where you live though - if you're in, say, Alaska it would be a whole different story.

I don't like it as well as the purple one. I think it is fine, but not fantastic. It does give you a stronger shoulder line than the purple one.

Honestly, it doesn't make you feel fab, and you are not reaching for it at all as it still has the tags. You love an item the most when you first bring it home, so i think you should return it.

It's a nice top. I would probably wear it, myself, but then I would be trying to deal with my giraffe neck etc. If it isn't perfect for you, send back!

Hmmm. I have tops like this that I only wear under jackets. I have a superhard time with tops to wear under anything, and if I'm never going to wear it on its own, I don't feel like it needs to look fantastic as a stand-alone piece.

@kellygirl, I think the straight arm holes are a big part of it. That combined with the loose, straight up-and-down-ness of the body, are just not working to my eye.

@tracina, yup. I think that is right. I don't think I will ever love this now.

@biscuitsmom, Awwww, you made my day. For a long time, I disliked my arms and would never go sleeveless. I thought my arms were fat. Then I had kids and now I have super strong mommy arms. I noticed that what I really didn't like before was that I didn't have delts before to round out my arms and make them curvy. And probably I just stopped being so critical of myself. So, as you can imagine, hearing that someone admires my arms is real day-topper! Bless you!

I think it looks nice, but prefer the cut of the purple one. I would send it back...if you are making compromises as to how to wear it and are going for only PPP, it doesnt measure up to those standards. Man, I would KILL to have arms like yours!

It's not horrible, but I do prefer the purple. Add as I just said on Aziraphale's post
http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....-un-see-it
I would be obsesssing about it everytime I put it on.

It looks like it would be a nice under layer. I think it's the straight up and down cut of the sleeve/armhole. I struggle with that cut as well.

I bought this teal and navy print top at Banana Republic a while ago. It still has its tags on (a bad sign) and I'm seriously thinking that I need to return it.

I love the color combo and the pattern. I think I'm not loving the shape. I feel like it overemphasizes the breadth of my shoulders in an unflattering way. I know this would look okay with a sweater over it, but I'm practicing PPP and therefore I need anything new to really pull its weight. No compromises. I want to be able to wear this sleeveless in the summer and feel fabulous, not just so-so.

For comparison, I've included a picture of my purple sleeveless top that I bought at the same time. This is a go-to shape that always works really well for me.

So, keep? Or return?
