You could look at it as $5 of gear entertainment that if you tire of it, or feel more picky about the fit, you have not lost much. I do love Aran knits! </p> https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/kr-thrifted-aran-sweater#post-1416902 Wed, 31 Dec 2014 01:36:06 +0000 Tania 1416902@https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/ <p>My husband and I were looking for a coat for him.&nbsp; He found&nbsp;this sweater thinking it might fit him.&nbsp; I looked at it and thought, no way, the wrists are very tapered and the collar was too narrow.&nbsp; I decided to try it on.&nbsp; DH thought it looked fine, but he is an outdoors type.&nbsp;&nbsp;I took it home for $5 and have a&nbsp;week to return.&nbsp; &nbsp;It is handknit, 100% merino wool, and soft.&nbsp; </p> <p>When I was younger, I always wanted a sweater like this but they were too expensive for me.&nbsp; I run fairly cold and appreciate a nice thick knit.&nbsp; When I could afford it, I couldn't ever find one I liked.&nbsp; They seemed too bulky, or cut wrong for my bust/shoulders, plus&nbsp;I had a&nbsp;stream of bulky&nbsp;wool sweaters from the Andes from my extended family.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>Opinions on this sweater?&nbsp; My 6 year old thinks it is way too big.&nbsp; lol.&nbsp; If nothing else, I could wear it as gear but I am wondering if it has any current fashion value considering the oversized trend and the sleeve taper.&nbsp; </p>
