I see you are returning but I love it! I think this style is inspired by the beautiful Babaa knits. Much higher price point but anyone who has one seems to a absolutely love them.

I also feel that style looks really good with a voluminous skirt or pant as it seems to create balance with the balloon sleeve.

I would keep it, but then I am a big fan of the short cardis, and quite like the big baloony sleeves. For me it is only the body fit and length. Looks good on you, but this is an individual thing.

Hmm. I think this was the right decision. I think you should have a sweater like this, but that the sweater strangely is not... being what it’s supposed to. I feel the shape is collapsing...

It seems a lot on you, compared to your body and usual style. I don't mind the lantern sleeves per se, but the dropped shoulders exagerate it.

Thanks so much everyone for your helpful input!

Sarah, Angie, unfrumped, thanks for articulating what my spidey sense was telling me - the idea is right, but this particular version of it is a bit too much for my personal style (I love it on others, which is why I tried it out - a few influencers I follow had it and I had to try). I am going to brave the mall in person next week, so now I know what to look out for - a similar idea in a crisper and less oversized version - so a useful exercise!

FI, I think this sweater is designed to be worn more as a sweater than a cardigan - if I find a similar style, the idea will be to wear it as such over a tank or cami (but not a long sleeve).

Thank you so much all; really appreciate it! xoxo

I think that these are pretty balloon-y even for the style- you can wear that type of sleeve but I think would look better in less exaggerated version, because I think it overwhelms you a bit. Or just a fluid- fit regular sleeve.

Look is good, and fashion forward. Size is right.

That said, FWIW, I have a hunch, Helena! The sleeves don't layer that well under coats, which is annoying. And they aren't quite polished enough for your style preferences. A little too slouchy, which I think might annoy you. And they flap about a bit.

The lantern sleeve is GREAT for you. But you might need a less slouchy version. One that looks neater and more crisp. Like these in Finds. You can't layer over those either. More of a swacket.

Of course, just guessing

Wear it around the house for a bit, and see how you go......

Hmm, I think I will be the spanner here. I very much like the idea of balloon sleeves for you, but with your classic style I think it would suit you better if the cut were more tailored elsewhere— more fitted torso to contrast with the sleeves, or (especially!) a fitted/tailored shoulder rather than the drop shoulder.

Fits you like it fits the model in the advert, so I would say you’ve got the right size. Do you wear sleeves down (like shown) or are you a pusher-upper?

FWIW, I like the look on you.

I love it! Definitely a little bit statement-y with the trendy sleeves and big bold buttons, but I think this could be a really fun addition for you if you’re wanting some variety. Great colour and the fit looks good for this style.

The sleeves are too long also. You could have the sleeves narrowed and you might be happy with the results?

As much as I've liked oversized things in the past, it's spring here now and trim is the way to go for me.

Hi friends, wondering if you think the silhouette of this cardi is overwhelming me or if it's ok? I can't tell if I'm seeing it as too big because it is, or because it's so different from my usual fit (as with the striped tee I was unsure about last time).

The fit in the body feels good, but the sleeves are pretty balloon-y (one of the things I like about it theoretically, because it's different from my usual), and the ribbing and buttons are also on the larger-scale size. I think a smaller size would be too short, so it's really probably more about whether the silhouette works than the fit (I think - willing to be corrected on that!).

It is comfy and in the elusive cool-friendly beige that's so hard to come by, and would be a nice transitional piece for early spring. But it's not essential, so if it's not right, then it's not right; no big deal.

What say you Fabbers? x
