It was just blah! I thought the stripes were too broad and wide spaced. In fact I made the call to request for a return. And when they explained the very detailed procedure o_O ... I decided I would give this a try. And hence the stylings the next day morning. I think this jacket is one of those things that pictures better than it looks IRL. I also feared, if the jacket was too overwhelming on me and if I was drowning in it.</p> <p>After I styled the jacket, I felt much better looking at myself in the mirror. I also needed a few votes of confidence from you all ... To actually step out in this. Since the vote here seems to be unanimous that I don't drown in the jacket .... I think scrunching the sleeves is important to show you are the boss of the jacket, and to break up the pattern a bit. </p> <p>I especially like how it goes with both the sophisticated dressy black outfits and the blush and denim (brilliant copycat; you wear blush well). Hard to call this jacket <u>versatile</u>, really, but that is kinda versatile for such a graphic&nbsp;high-contrast &nbsp;item.</p> <p>I guess the statement item issue for me,&nbsp;since by nature I&nbsp;might not wear&nbsp;weekly, &nbsp;is not so much can I wear it every day, but more, for how long (ideally more than one calendar year if something is good quality/pricey) or at least transeasonally,&nbsp;multiple times&nbsp;over the year (or spring through fall, say).&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;So $45 is after all an initial modest investment, and wearing a couple of times a month, or more if&nbsp; &nbsp;out and about with different groups of people,plus just for me, for fun. over several seasons would seem okay IF it has high happiness. <br />So, you're not loving it for its workhorse sensible nature, but to say, life's too short not to wear a fun jacket sometimes if the&nbsp; price is right.
