I'm not sure why I think these pants make my legs look short when no one else seems to see this, although Vix has a great explanation. I really don't like the look of the flares unless I am wearing heels. I think the wider line is shortening, at least to my eye. As tall as I am, I once figured out that my legs are actually 4" shorter than they should be given the length of my torso. I like to wear a small heel because too high and they are uncomfortable. The highest I can mange is 3 inches and that's pushing things. I love a platform heel because that gives me some extra height. So, these will definitely take some eye adjustment, but I plan to keep them. </p> <p>The Billie crops also come in white. Maybe I should get a pair. They are very comfy. I have a feeling I will wear them frequently because I don't really wear shorts to work. It's just how it goes. </p> <p>I think the flares are fine (or will be with a tiny hem so they skim the floor) -- just purchased some myself. Straight leg or baby bootcuts are the best for me but I wanted variety. If you DON'T have bootcuts you could compare/contrast and see what you think.</p> <p>-- In #1 that higher-contrast of the denim to the bright white sandal is not generating love. The flares are nice, definitely not to wide. I like the 1st pair of crops,but for some reason prefer the faded pair.....not sure why, but it may be because I prefer the ballet shoe over the sandal with the crops, but that's a personal thing. It will become quickly evident when you look at the pictures that even with ankle strap sandals, crops shorten my proportionally short legs significantly. These are the 5th pair I have tried and the only pair I am willing to post. What do you think? Should they be shorter? Should I keep trying? These are unaltered tall size.</p> <p>The flares are also talls. I am wearing them with maybe a 1.5 to 2 inch wedge sandal. Is the flare too wide for me? Should I keep looking? These are also unaltered talls from JCrew. </p> <p>The tops are all old and part of my existing wardrobe.</p> <p>I wondered if my taupe Beautifeel heels can pass for block heel ballerinas? Are they current enough or dated? They're super comfy and have been hanging out in my reserve area with the hope that I could pull them out and wear them again. What do you think? </p>
