Thanks everyone for taking a look. I think I'm on the right track as far as the "cut" (style?) of dress and styling with boots, but kind of agree that it is a smidge big. I really want green, preferably an olive, but haven't found any other alternatives yet. I'll hang on to this but keep looking.

I think this looks very nice. I didn't see it as too large at all. You don't want the knit to be stretched out in order to fit. I like this dress a lot...I prefer it with the first pair of boots.

I'm voting return. Even if the other size is too small, this dress looks too large. It is not doing you justice. Fitting sweater dresses can be tough, but I think you should persevere and try to find a different one that really fits and flatters.

wear the anyi lu with the matchy matchy lilac sweater skirt in the other thread. this dress looks good, but will need to see the other one.

I'd have to see a size down to be sure, but there is a little extra material in the yoke, especially in front of the sleeves. Not much, but enough to make it less than a perfect fit.

I love it with the Anya Liu boots. (I'm still jealous of you for winning that contest!) The wee bit of edge that they add is just wonderful and gives it a more youthful feel. You might even be able to wear leggings under it in that case.

Looks good. I am a similar shape to you pil and I think if you size down the dress is going to cling particularly around your bottom area outlining it more. This size skims that area nicely. This is something I have to be wary off. The fit looks good everywhere else too.

Great dress, it does look a little roomy, but if the smaller size was too tight fitting you made the right choice. I love it with the tights and boots. Nice.

Yes, it was too form fitting around the hips and rear. I tried both dresses in the smaller size as sometimes that makes a difference, but they were both more snug than I liked.

Well I don't dislike the fit of it this way. I usually tend towards more relaxed fits too. I'd have to see the smaller size to compare, but I do like this one.

I like the shape of the dress on you but are you sure the smaller size was too clingy? This one seems a bit big, especially looking at #2.

I saw this sweater dress a while back and thought it might work for me because of the bit of gathering at the base of the shawl color. There is actually green and black yarn. I ended up going with the XL because the L was more snug than I am comfortable with, but do you think the XL is too big? It certainly is cozy but my new slip is too clingy and needs to be returned.

The boots in photos 1 and 2 work well, I think, but I added the Anyi Lu boots in 3 just to see. What do you think of those? Thanks!
