But I'm not that fond of linen pants that I've tried in the past for this very reason. If I get them small enough to look decent after an hour's wear, I balk every time I put them on, because they are uncomfortable (and not the loose, slouchy feel and look that I want from linen pants). Then I change into something else. <br />So I would try to find a lightweight cotton instead. The XL were insanely comfortable, but also a bit balloony, and loose at the waist (before any stretching), so I ordered the size down to try. </p> <p>This is the L, and I can't decide. I like the fit when I'm standing, but there's no stretch and they do tighten around my thighs a lot when I sit, so they're less comfortable than the larger pair. On the other hand, I'm at the top of my weight range right now, and usually drop down a bit in the summer when I'd be wearing these.</p> <p>What do you think? Keep or return? Or size back up? </p>
