I think the first pair is the best of these. I had a pair of those baggy jeans too back in the day. I recently got these to fill a similar spot (and they are a pretty good price too). They have a few options in this style.

https://www.luckybrand.com/aut.....038;cgid=w

I'm so NOT good at jeans, so pardon if silly but I like nr.5-6 as they are-but am a crop fan!:-) Then I would simply hack(not hem!) the first pair, they have a good fit on you otherwise! I just cannot wrap my head around

the last one...maybe a good hack on these, too? Think they will then look culotte, and solve the problem?

The first pair looks best to me. I have a visceral reaction to the last pair, but putting that aside, they just plain look too big on you. You wear so many styles of jeans so well that I’d be really picky if I were you.

I like the first pair...would you consider hemming?

I get the crop longevity question. I’m not sure it’s going anywhere in the next year or two but you have hung on to your dres for a few years.

The last pair has a weird bulge at the crotchetal area. Hard pass

Definitely keep the Mothers! Nice classic 501ish fit. Have you looked at the "Dadjeans" at Madewell? Similar vibe but maybe a little more bagginess.

I like the idea of pleated jeans as a throwback style, but the fit seems off with these. They need a higher/longer rise, maybe?

Thanks so much for the feedback...
interesting on the suggestions to size down on the pleated pair..I think I’d be uncomfortable in a smaller size, maybe more psychological than physical, so that pair is a pass. The Topshop are a pass as I was mixed on those and no one liked. I’m going to try the 1st pair again and experiment with different shoes.

1st pair looks best to me. 3rd pair is also good, but wondering if you need to size down? I think this cut can be tough b/c you want them roomy, but not too roomy.

kkards, I understand why you fell for #7 to 10. I happily wore those in the '80s with you. High five :)

Try them with your white boots and hemming the a little too by tucking under the hem. Do you need a smaller size?

The first Mother pair are my fave. Fab rolled at the hems. Pass on the Topshop.

The first are good, flattering. The second seem a little off in shape. Hips kinda low on the pants. And the third... the shape is way off to my eye, like the hips are down by your knees...

I like the first pair, but would hem them to get the cropped/flood look without the roll. The roll looks good and I will probably be in rolled boyfriend jeans until I die but I believe you are going for the current look! Without the roll they don’t look intentional, just too short. Hemmed I think they will be pretty cool.

The second pair is just meh for me and the third pair is probably just too big, Ummlila nailed it. With that kind of super specific look I find it impossible to tell whether they would magically transform into something perfect in the right size.

I'm not a fan of the super-baggy ones at the end, because they look too big even though they do accentuate your small waist. Perhaps if the denim was either more drapy or a definite shape, plus you wore a delicate shoe with a little heel, this might work better.

As for the other two jeans. I like the Mother ones better, but not at full length paired with sneakers.

All of this could, of course, just be me not getting behind the trend. I've tried many pairs of wider jeans and don't like most of them. (Black ones in finds do work for me.) My compromise is the Citizens Olivia slim straight. (Also finds.)

I’ve been looking for a pair of relaxed straight leg jeans. I’m looking to replace/update my Rag & Bone Dre boyfriends which are a mid rise, but feeling lower than what I’m reaching for these day. I have an image in my head of what I’m looking for...I’ve included some inspiration photos at the end
I’ve found a couple that might be contenders...as always interested in what my fellow fabbers think

Up first... Mother the Huffy Flood
#1-4.
Waist fits perfectly. Obviously not a “flood” on me...don’t love them full length with the sneakers, but I think they look ok rolled. I didn’t try they with heels, but I think they could work. I like the relaxed feel of these.

Next up...Topshop Editor Jeans.
#5-6
Fit here is good as well. I like these, but wondering if I should pass because how long will the crop trend hang around....

And the AGolde pleated baggy
#7-10
I tried these because I had a similar pair back in late 80s...there to long...and from the front they make me look really short...not sure why that is. But from the side, I actually like them...

Thoughts????
