I think you look smashing in the Paul Green peeptoes. Those are the ones in pic 1, right? Very edgy and trendy—I like them on you a lot. I will say, though, along the lines of what Firecracker says, that people on the forum have commented that the peeptoe feature makes the shoes unsuitable for colder weather, but the fact that they are still mostly enclosed makes them unsuitable for very hot weather. So that type of shoe seems to require mild temps.

The peep toe Paul Greens look great on you. They are essentially an early summer to early fall shoe, though, in my opinion. Do they fill the same wardrobe need as the Munros?
I saw a sales associate at Nordstrom the other day wearing the Munros with black tights. They looked cute that way, and I wouldn't have thought to try it.

If you are looking specifically for gray booties that are sleek looking, then the Paul Greens are a better match for you than I initially suspected! Well, I have no idea where to cull, now! You could just make an agreement with yourself to make this sale your one big outlay for the season and enjoy your great finds.

My winter wardrobe (other than J Crew coats) is a lot of black and grey and blue. I am not allowed to buy any more grey sweaters. Or at least so I tell myself. And I thought the white might be an interesting addition for winter. I don't wear it much in that season, though I have been this summer, and liking it.

The existing wardrobe is why I was interested in the grey boots, though. I have an old pair of La Canadiennes that got a lot of play, but they are beat up and the toe is too round for my presently pointy tastes.

Lisa, I can see why you're having a hard time deciding what to return. It all looks so great!

My best favorites are the blouse in #1 (awesome and unique!) and the dark moto.

I would return the black pants because you think there may be a fit problem, and black pants are a pretty easy-to-find staple, so there is no need to settle.

Regarding the cashmere sweater, I would return. As someone else pointed out, there are lots of cashmere sweaters around. And I have found in the past that if I keep a top mainly because of its color, that is not enough for me to keep interested in it after a couple of wears. If it's not comfy and not flattering on me for fit, it will sit in the closet.

I know you like florals, but do you think that if you keep too many of the floral items here, you will get sick of them? I have found sometimes that I can overdose on something that I like a lot, and then I don't want to wear it at all. The more distinctive the thing, the easier it is to overdose.

As far as trying to decide between the two jackets, one observation I have is that the floral one, since it is quite busy, will work better with solid tops, whereas the solid (well, colorblocked) one will work with both patterned and solid tops. If your wardrobe consists of a lot of patterned tops, you might want to return the floral moto. Also, I find that I don't like to wear white much in the cooler months but prefer darker colors. So determining a season for when you want to wear the moto might help you decide, at least if your color preferences change with the seasons.

I had to laugh at your title, too! And I fully understand the feeling, even on my eighth or so NAS. (I really don't know how many I've shopped.)
You look great in all of these selections, and the fact that you've put together smashing outfits with everything doesn't make it any easier to help you cull! (But nice job. :) Great haul!)

I'm with Cocolion--I'd start by eliminating the sweater that you find scratchy. Nice color and lines on you, but if it's not soft, what's the point of a cashmere sweater?
I'm struck by the two jackets--I wouldn't have guessed they were the same except for the fabrics and colors. The white one strikes me as more you, because of the floral. It's so, so different--a fantastic statement piece. It could become your signature leather jacket. Is it worth the splurge for you? The blue one is more of a blend-in piece, though still stunning. On both of them, since they are not on sale, how would you feel about returning them and waiting to see if they end up on sale at the end of the season? You could miss out on them, but at least one of them may still be around. It's a gamble, and you have to be willing to accept defeat, if you do lose out on them entirely. Or here's another trick you could use: return and buy the one (or both?) that you choose, putting some of your hard-earned Nordstrom notes to use toward them, either now or in a few weeks.

The pants don't photograph well enough for me to comment on fit. But I will say, if they are not feeling like a fantastic fit through the hip area, try another size. They can be a great deal, but they have to be the kind of pants you are going to reach for because they are so comfortable and make you feel great.

I hate to say this, because Paul Green is probably my favorite brand of shoe, but I like those booties the least on you. They are nice, don't get me wrong, but if you are looking for things you could do without, I wonder about them. My questions are: Is that a good color for your wardrobe? (Because it stands out as being different from all the other pieces you've shown here--gray is not a big player.) Do you want suede? You can find a fab low-heeled bootie not on sale later in the season, if this isn't the perfect one for you. Of course, I may be totally off-track and you may want it because it's different. For what it's worth, I can see why you asked the question about making your feet look long; they do look longer in those photos with the Paul Greens, but I think it's 1) the lower heel, 2) the color, and 3) camera angle. I don't think your feet look long in these boots--it's just quite a different silhouette from others you're showing here--even the Munros, which are a lower heel, but have that multiple strap look going on.

There--did I help at all??

Ummilla you made me laugh with your title! :)

I can't help much either: I think 8 might be a return (you don't sound as excited about it as the others). Plus if I'm being super honest, I like you in the other coloured tops more (but of course, cameras change colours, so don't let that stop you from rocking the hot pink if you love it): going from 8 to 9, where you look just incredible, sealed the deal for me. That top (the floral in 9) is my favourite of the lot! The bottoms are too dark for me to able to tell you about fit: have you done sit down/walking/etc tests to be sure of comfort? Sometimes I think a pair of jeans fits, then I sit down and realise a vast expanse of lower back is on display. Ugh.

To get more specific, I think it'd be helpful to know whether any of these fill active wardrobe holes/how many items you already have in each category/etc. That way you'll figure out what will get the most use, since you love almost everything. :)

The cranberry top is more on the blue side, Suz. I really recommend it. If it also came in blue, I would buy as well. I think that the colors that I like for me also work for you. I had my colors done when I was like 12 years old and I still have all my little summer swatches somewhere. It's funny how much on target that analysis proved to be (black and citron, which actually work for me, aside.)

Coco, I have long narrow feet. I tried the boots barefoot since IRL it was not a socks kind of day. I had a lot of room, probably too much room on the top of the foot. So unless you're going to wear ragg socks in winter you will probably be okay.

I love the blouse in #1. Just gorgeous and distinctive. And the Theory one, too. Is the cranberry a blue red or a true red, would you say?

I echo everything Denise says. Fit issues are not visible here, but I would first eliminate the fit problems (or size up). Then maybe the white jacket.

Wow, I agree that it's hard to suggest what to return because most everything looks great here, but I do have a couple thoughts:

A "ruinously expensive jacket" that's white sounds like a recipe for heartache to me.

Based purely on photo #8, I'm not convinced about hemming the pants. I think that the shorter length breaks up the lengthening effect of the black pants and black shoes, and makes you look shorter.

The boots in #9 may make your feet look longer, but they also make your legs look longer. Your proportions look quite different if you flip back and forth between pictures #8 and #9.

I think that photos can reveal some problems that aren't immediately apparent, but they can also conceal issues. It's hard to tell how much the pants are pulling across the front, but if you think it's happening then chances are that these aren't going to be your favorite pair of black pants and won't get a lot of use.

Good luck choosing! You're in an enviable spot to get to pick between so many lovely items!

I had been leaning toward returning the white floral and leather moto as maybe being TOO distinctive for long term wear. And there is a blouse in that brand I could go for, since I like the 'grey gardens' print. I like my looks to always include something a bit distinctive. The items I buy thinking they will go with everything, or that 'every woman needs a ...' are often the ones I don't wear and keep around too long to return.

Wow! All beautiful. If I had to pare down, I'd say the floral moto is too distinct to be a workhorse, so it may not earn its keep. Also, if the cashmere sweater isn't perfect, I'd send that back too. There are just so very many cashmere options, there's no need to keep one that isn't perfect. Great haul!

OH MY! I am not going to be any help at all because I love it all on you!

But -- if you need help whittling it down, here are some suggestions.
- Delete anything where there is a potential fit issue. For example, I see no pulling in the pants but you mentioned it (Vince pants), would that make you uncomfortable?
- LOVE the lace pencil skirt on you, I think this is a modern classic and you will get lots of use from it. It's not too body con looking to me, but if you are uncomfortable sitting you might want to size up. As Angie says, do the sit test.
- LOVE these items on you and will be mad at you if you don't keep them: Chelsea Lace Inset blouse, Halogen Novelty print cotton floral sweater, Rebecca Taylor rose garden sleeveless top. I also LOVE the pink cashmere Halogen sweater BUT if it's scratchy, pass. My point is, the neckline and color are extremely flattering on you so if you don't keep this piece you might want to be on the look-out for another in this color.
- I'm sort of torn on the b&w floral jacket from Rebecca Taylor. Part of me thinks it's unique and eye catching, another part of me fears it will tire quickly. Only you can determine your passion level.
- Between the floral jacket and the mixed media Rebecca Taylor blue leather jacket, I prefer the leather one. It is seriously drool-worthy.
- Shoes -- go with what's comfortable and looks best with your wardrobe. The Paul Greens do not make your feet look big. They look very modern. I had them in my cart for a while but feared they were too narrow for my wide feet. Do you think they would work for a higher volume but small foot? I usually wear a Euro size 37 well, as I find Euro shoes are typically cut a bit wider. But Paul Greens look narrow.

Ummilla, I've been wondering how the Vince pants worked for you!!! The 6 was perfect for me. AND I have lost weight and gotten fitter this summer. I don't think I would say that this particular Vince pant runs large. (At least I hope it doesn't! :)) I really love the weight, feel, and cut of these pants. Will you try the 6 or stick with the 4? (It's hard to see the fit in these pics.)

My absolute favorite item of everything you bought is the Chelsea blouse. It's such an interesting fabrication, it's so flattering, great neckline, and fabulous use of florals. Love love love it. If it weren't so close to one my floral top (haha!) I would be tempted. I also love the DVF lace skirt -- the fit looks perfect.

I also love the zipper v-neck Theory top. Another really great find on you, very modern looking.

Of the two jackets, my favorite is also the darker. It looks sleeker and more lush to me.

You're making me very excited for my delivery!

Six and nine are my favorites on you. I also like how the skirt works with the top you already have in #2. You picked great things, but if you are trying to limit your keeps, those are my favorites on you.

The whole outfit in #6 is outstanding. I like the tops in #3 and 9. I like the dark floral. I really want to like the jackets, and I do, but I don't find them that exciting...

I have not shopped the NAS before. I got a little over excited, and figured I would just send back most of the items from my online adventures. The first batch came this weekend. Unfortunately, I like more of them than I thought. Angie is correct that the photos online don't fully convey the good quality being offered.

So please be very critical and help me return stuff!

1) Dark floral and lace Chelsea blouse and DVF lace skirt. I would not usually tuck in all the way, but it am trying to show the fit better (it would help if I didn't have such dark cabinets). The skirt I sized up to a 6 on based on past DVf experience, but I still think it might look too form-fitting.

2) Same DVF black lace skirt, my last year DvF lace overlay sweater. I had meant to get a lace skirt to go with it last year but did not find one I liked. I think this looks good. (There is a similar sweater but with white background in the sale.)

3) Dark blue Vince pants with same color side stripe, plus Rebecca Taylor floral blouse. Again, I would probably not tuck this in. But I wanted to show the front of the pants. I think they pull a bit across the front of the thighs. What do you think? (For Viva -- I got 4, maybe should've been 6.)

4) same as 3), but with the addition of a non sale Rebecca Taylor blue jacquard and leather moto. Heads up, I got two in very different fabrications but same style too expensive and really need to send at least one back.

5) Halogen flower print sweater and Vince pants. I like this sweater a lot. Comfortable and good colors for me. If you haven't noticed, I'm a sucker for florals.

6) Cranberry Theory top with zipper and black Theory pants. Need some hem adjustment. Love this top. I like v necks and can't always find ones that are not too deep. I am all over the fact that this one can be adjusted with a zipper.

7) same theory pants. The other ruinously expensive jacket. Again a floral print, but on a moto.

8) same theory pants but I folded under the hem. pink cashmere sweater. The sweater looks kind of boxy here and it's not the softest cashmere I've ever felt, but I like the color a lot.

9) the Chelsea dark floral top again, J brand jeans (very thin and stretchy, more like leggings) in plum, Paul Green anthracite boots. Do the boots make my feet look big (they are 8.5h)? I just noticed I forgot to narrate the footwear in the previous pictures. I was going to get away from colored jeans this year but I like this color a lot.

10) The J brand plum jeans and the Theory cranberry top with the Rebecca Tylor floral moto, zipped this time.

Thank you for bearing with me. I look forward to receiving your always well informed and tasteful opinions!
