*Whew* I was going to vote for sending it back, but was feeling guilty for being a nay-sayer. Now that Angie has weighed in, I'm feeling like less of a fuddy-duddy. I like jackets to close or at least look like they can. I'm not against ones that actually can't. I have a cardigan that I bought knowing that it couldn't close without gaping, but I like the line of it and I never ever intended to button it up. This one just looks (as you put it) skimpy. You have a good eye. Send it back and get something fabulous instead.

It doesn't sit well on the bust area to my eye. I'd wait for the perfect one.

Smythe runs a few sizes small. I don't mind a blazer that does not close if it fits everywhere else. But this blazer is clearly ill-fitting. I vote return, as beautiful as it is

I have drooled over these forever but yes, they run crazy-small. I'd want a perfect fit for the price. Is there a link showing how it looks on the model? Not that that's necessarily the standard but I'd like to see the jacket more clearly to advise you better.

I tried on a Smythe jacket at the NAS. I'm normally a 10 in jackets. Their 12 was too tight on me. I think they run incredibly small.

This is the largest size (12!). I like it but I feel a bit exposed, I think it looks a bit skimpy....and it was expensive. I think I would get more wear out of a piece that fit better.

So gorgeous Nicole - the lines are lovely. However, Smythe blazers are rather expensive - if I was buying one I'd want to to have the option of doing it up.
Even undone - it looks like it needs more fabric in the front panels.
And yet it seems to fit you in the shoulders...sigh...size up?

This amazing blazer was delivered today...it is a Smythe brand and website (eluxe) states it is meant to be worn open, but it cannot be buttoned in the front (even with a deep inhale). I think I know what you are going to say....
