I bought a pair of tan toeless boots last year at a sample sale. They were beautiful soft leather, but I was still a little skeptical because (a) they needed to be worn sans hose, so warm weather, and would that mean sweaty feet? and (b) not sure about the whole toeless bootie/shootie thing. Well, as it turns out, they are awesome. I wore them lots! But not so much during the day in the summer. I found that they were the perfect thing for warm evenings, or even for the daytime in the spring, but they did indeed get a little sweaty on hot summer days. And the look of toeless boots has grown on me. At first I thought it was maybe a little silly, but they really do look great with a lot of clothes. ($41) The alternate I was considering are in #6 Clark's Ruby<br /> 4-5 Miz Mooz boots(?) I don't particularly NEED grey boots, but I do wear a lot of grey and these are quite comfy.
