The longer hem is also more modern/"now" to me. IMHO, a chunky bangle (either red or black, fairly wide, and brilliantly lacquered papier-mâché, to emphasize the Japanese feel of the dress) would be the only jewellery for this, cos a necklace of any sort, even earrings would be just too busy around the colour-block shoulderline.</p> <p>The length is fine, but you have really nice legs, so you COULD eventually shorten the dress if you decide it'd be more you. But you know what I'd do? I'd keep it that length, cos it would look fabulous in the autumn with a long-sleeve fine black tee worn underneath, and some high black boots or opaque black tights and some zinging red patent ballet flats. If you DID adopt this idea, it would be more chic to leave the dress longer. I personally hate to see a gap between my hemline and my boots. But perhaps that's just me!
