Alright, after wearing these for an hour they have bagged out in the rear and are looser... but they are so not the jeans for me! The crotch drop looks terrible now. I should remember this "wear it!" step before posting the K/R next time....

Thanks Mo! I know you went through a huge BF search and I appreciate your wisdom I think I may need to figure out what fit exactly I am looking to achieve fit wise. I feel a bit muddled about my goal for that at the moment...

Like am i just looking for something with more distressing and flap detailing on the pockets or am I really looking for a looser fit through the hip and thigh. Or both... Suz's comment that these look like "older" jeans doesnt seem to be the right direction for me (please excuse me whilst I think through my keyboard...)

I'm with Suz on this one. I like a more fitted BF jean myself, but even mine have a bit more looseness in the hip/upper thigh.

They are listed as a "slim straight" -- for men mind you -- so my hips do make them tighter up top than down below. i need to go back and review the pic of you and Shannon rocking your TR Camerons and take note...

ETA: Rae too just saw her K/R thread and I really see the looser thigh and posterior there with the tapered leg.

Sarah, I am not an expert on the whiskering and will leave this to better eyes than mine.

The jeans seem to fit you well, but they don't read as BF jeans to me. They are more like older straight leg or small boot cut, snug up top and wider below? Rather than being wider up top and tapering. Unless my eyes are playing tricks on me, that is.

I have been looking to replace my worn out BF style jeans since springtime. Well now that jeans weather is here it is time to start the search in earnest.

My old BF jeans (Calvin Klein boyfriend from maybe 5 years back) were a fairly slim fit and mid-high rise hugged the posterior (as these do) and while I have played with some much more loose styles (thanks to DH being about my same size), I am not totally sure I have a preference. I like both ideas, and his looser fit stuff is always available to "borrow".

Now then, I dont want to unduly influence... but i'd like to know:

1. Do these read BF to your eye? (they are men's jeans actually....no ladies BF cuts at retail in this town anywhere! arrgghh ... although I could order)
2. Does the whiskering/distressing look reasonably authentic/designer/high end ... this is an area where my eye has been becoming more keen but I am not an expert. pic 7
3. What do you make of the dual colored thread detail? pics 8-10. and flap coin pocket (pic 6)
4. Should I think about sizing up? These are 32x32 and 100% cotton, there may have been a 34x32 on the rack, cant remember ... anyone know how much bigger that is? Is it like a womens size up where it is maybe a 1/2" larger in the pattern or is it actually 2 inches larger? (...which is what I assumed at the store so i didnt even grab it to try on...)

Finally K/R! (of course...) Thanks for all opinions :)
