I was concerned whether the bust is gaping in photo 1 because I can't quite see what is going on, but I think that may actually just be a fold in the fabric? Some tailoring (pleats, inseams, darts) could do the trick, because I really like the idea, and your styling skills are excellent. I found this last night at LL Bean for $19.00 and need to know if it's worth keeping.</p> <p>I love: the colors (preppy red white and blue), it's very soft cotton, the length is right for me I think, sleeves roll or not, I can layer under and/or over, could work for multiple seasons.<br /> I'm not sure: it's an XL (hence a little poufy below, but no button gape when fully buttoned), honestly is it too young for me or too old for me?<br /> I tried a few options in styling and am open to others.<br /> 1 Sequin tee underneath, thick belt, long denim jacket, heather blue tights and blue booties<br /> 2. popped navy cashmere over and Anna's boots for fun (too Western? different tights needed?)<br /> 3. full disclosure without a shaping topper (this is what gives me pause - I could have some darts added? thinner belt? the belt loops that are attached (for the plaid tie self belt - uck) are a bit high. I can blouson the top a bit more than this.<br /> Help? </p>
