Oh, Anna, really? That makes me so sad.
Shevia--thanks for the comment on the jeans! The plaid top can be seen peaking out of a pullover in this thread. I am probably returning it. returning: http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....st-1351718
Amiable, thanks. I am in love with it over the black jersey H&M tunic. Is the all saints cardigan you are thinking of the one Alaskagirl linked to?

Alaskagirl--it pops over my head. It is the strangest thing. At least that all saints cardigan--which is awesome!--looks like a cardigan, albeit a rather skewed to one side one, lol!

Ok, so as promised, a picture of the drapey thingy with my H&M black jersey light weight tunic. (and everything over leggings.)
And you know what: finally, today, I feel warm!
Anyway: does this change things? Maybe this drapey thing is a thing for skirts--and not pants. What do we think of it, now?

Anna--why? Sorry to keep pressing, but I am an analytical gal. I respect your "eye" so if it is a "gut" thing, enuf said.

Windchime--yes, these are the SE petty's I have been having such a hard time with. I've got super thin sock on today--so they just might be able to stay in my capsule.I have never seen my feet so sleek.

Deborah! Oh my goodness, I was just thinking I "needed" to find a piece to layer over my black tunic from H&M. This just might do it. I need to try that. I do have a jersey knit turtleneck I bought at the same sale--but it doesn't help us lengthwise.

Lisap--well, this is what happens whenever Angie posts an Ensemble--I always wantto see if I can recreate them, so that's probably where the hyperfocus on this one came from. It looks fabulous with a cable sweater I purchased (I haven't k/r'd it yet as the pics are too blurry.) But, I am not attached to it, at all. Now--a blackand white buffalo check--wouldn't that be awesome?

Thistle, thanks for chiming in. Yes, I need to think on these a bit, still.

Suz-- it says 100% acrylic. That's no help, lol.

I like all of it on you a lot, Alana. I think you will find ways to style the plaid shirt so it feels polished and/or jazzy.

The style of the drapey thing (lol) looks wonderful on you, imo. Would you want to look for a similar piece in a longer length? Cute jeans, too. And do I see ankle boots?! You are really making progress on your cold weather capsule.

Alana, keep in mind both thoughts are due to my personal bias:) I am not loving the plaid shirt for you. To my mind, it doesn't fit with there I thought you were headed??

The draped top is fab (but you knew I would say that right:) ) I love the two tone of it and the drape looks good, not too much, just enough. Is this the only way it can be worn?? The length looks fine to me, but you could layer a tunic underneath it if you want more length. I would like to see some more stylings as I suspect it could become a workhorse for you.

I'll join Thistle here: the plaid shirt does not say jazzy or polished to me. Colourwise it's good, but doesn't read as anything interesting on the screen. Doesn't strike me as your look - whereas the buffalo plaid did...(more dramatic in colour, striking, more polished....)

I like the drapey thingy - but I have a personal aversion to things with different coloured backs from sleeves from fronts etc. Sometimes it can make the garment look cheap - as in thrown together from ends of rolls of fabric, Other times it works - but I can't tell any fabric or colour variation from this photo.

Spanner here. While I like the plaid shirt, I am not sure it is your style. If you like it and will wear it, I say keep. Even if not your style, it could stretch your style boundaries.

The black drapey top looks really nice on you. I would keep it if you will wear it. Would return if you think it will bug you and won't actually wear it.

So, here are a couple more items from the sale I was at Friday night.
First question: Are these photos OK--or do we need better to evaluate--especially the drapey thingy? If so, just say so and I'll re-take and we won't waste any time or create any wrinkles trying to squint at the screen, OK?

Plaid Shirt:
This is a light weight poly cotton, good for layering under things--and with a white Tee underneath could be warm enough for winter. (Once we turn the heating on, of course. Now can be actually colder than December because we don't.)
The first question: I like the plaid, I know the colour suits, but is it my "style?" I know I am in the midst of creating one: I have two words, "polished and jazzy."

Second: is the cut Ok?

Third--the roll on the pants! Advice, please? I have no idea what I am doing.

Drapey Thing:
This is very odd. It has no buttons or closures. It just sits there. Kind of. I would likely have to figure something out, somehow. The sleeves and back are a different colour than the front. I think it is my "jazzy" style, for sure--the boots and pants make it polished. This time the main concern is--does it look OK? I really would like it onger--especially when viewed from the side--but what do you all think? Is it OK?

PS: sorry about the stateof that mirror.
