I am happy for you! I think they look better IRL than in pictures, because your friend gave them a YAY vote. Similarly, there are things that look great in pictures, but when you get closer, they just aren't that fab. I have not kept things that the forum has LOVED on me for this reason.

Can't believe I'm going to tell you this... I'm keeping them! All your insights really contributed to my decision. Also, my most fashionable friend came over for a visit last night, and gave me an honest assessment. She thought they were super elegant, and more flattering than they should be in reality. She never hesitates to tell me "no" when I need to hear it, and I do the same for her.

Are they practical, no. Will I wear them often, no. But truth be told these types are probably pieces I require more in my wardrobe. Statement pieces that make me feel unique. Because I have all the bases covered already (more than once, lol). It would certainly be more practical to buy something I would wear everyday. But how many pairs of jeans does a girl really need?

Thank you again, for your collective wisdom!!!

I love #6, too. It's not just the shape of the clothes, it's the pattern in that jacket. This is a winner.

I'm in agreement that the looks I like best out of the bunch you have posted are the ones where you top it off with a blazer. I'm not a fan of any of the tucked in looks, or the bi-level hem.

I'd like to see them with a structured, woven shirt. Untucked. I have a feeling that will work, too.

I love #6. Generally I like them with darker colours, not sure they are working with white or blush. In the end I don't think they are versatile enough for you. Correct me if I'm wrong but my impression is that your pieces are well-chosen, fashion forward & amazing quality but tend to be a bit understated - it's all in the subtle details. Annagybe for example works with a lot of really unique pieces that stand out but I'm not sure that is your vibe. You would know better than me of course - not trying to steer just observe.

This is tricky. My first thought is that they are good but they are not as good as your amazing toppers - and shouldn't you hold out for that standard? I do love #6 though. This is a tough one - I guess you should picture a situation when you would wear them and think whether you would grab these or something else.

These are absolutely something that I would never buy for myself, but I have to say I really like them on you, especially with the untucked tops and the blazers. They are a great colour and I love the architectural elements of them. How much wear would you get out of them? Are they something you could wear to work, or would they be part of your dressier capsule? And most importantly, how do you feel wearing them?

My gut feeling though is that these will be HARD to style and could very easily become orphans... I think a lower rise would make them a lot easier to work with.

I still like them: They look believable on you, they are fluid, The color is different, you have the frame for them, and I don't see the widening issue as a biggie, your frame can take the exageration, but, BUT, if you are still having doubts, I'd say return. I always err on the side of return.

I really don't think that generally speaking, pleated pants work with a full tuck in, you know, unless you are a accentuated IT.

tina, i think they are really figure flattering with a cutting edge silhouette. especially in the last two looks that you posted. i'm not sure i would wear them with tucked in tops but short untucked tops are so great. that last shirt with the pants is awesome. so loose and summery.

Raisin, I have the Phillip Lim slouchy pocket pants (something like that) in navy blue. They are more dropped crotch than these and a lot easier to wear. And I have a pair of Alexander Wang track pants, similar idea.

Overall I like the colour, though a tough silhouette to wear in this colour.

Those of you that raised questions on the size, you are definitely on to something. They are exactly the right size, but there is something about them that feels both too small and too large at once. They are weird pants!

I so enjoyed reading the debate these pants have illicited. I had a feeling that there would be mixed reviews. And I do so appreciate each of you chiming in with your thoughtful and honest critiques. Seriously, you guys are amazing.

I went back and read what I initially wrote about the pants, maybe I was too harsh. Though I am leaning toward return, i'm still undecided. Because there is something I do love about them. The shape is amazing, I like the view from the side. And they look good in motion.

But they aren't figure flattering. LOL, I may never be able to unsee the parentheses (love that!). Oddly though I felt quite good in them. And I do like to wear things that are different. But these are fairly different for my little part of the world.

I'm going to try styling them a couple other ways. Hope you can bear more photos. Sorry I'm a super pain. I'm a freakishly decisive person about 95% of the time.
