I think they are a great color and it sounds like you've already thought through what to wear them with (don't forget cobalt blue!). I see them as shoes with a life of a few years. The wedge is not going away just yet and the mary jane is classic. The shoes do not have embellishments or hardware which could date them quickly, nor do they have an exaggerated toe box (as in super square or pointy). If they go with items in your fall wardrobe, why not keep them? I tend to buy only neutral shoes. But: I'm 44, a teacher ,(have to look like an adult at work to be distinguished from the teenagers, you know and my style is on the modern classic/natural side. I'm almost petite, and I'm of normal weight with a slight pear shape. </p> <p>The shoes are on sale and didn't cost much, and I have several skirts, dresses and pants to combine them with.</p> <p>My question: Are these shoes very trendy, and will they become unfashionable very shortly, or could they possibly be matched successfully with my more neutral and subdued outfits? I don't want to keep them if the are only a fad or too far off from my style. </p>
