I cannot imagine you as a nurse of years gone by. this is too staid and reminiscent of nurse Rachett!

keep lookin'. lets add a little skin showing to the pre-requisites.

:)

Sorry for being a comedian in training!!

Love the idea of a white dress for you Jeanne - white is so beautiful with your coloring. But I'm afraid I'm not quite feeling the style of this one on you.
I agree with La Belle that it may work with that skirt style if the top were a round neck and maybe sleeveless, though you couldn't go far wrong with a sheath style.

I love the fit of the skirt on you, it showcases your legs beautifully! But I'm not loving the top half of the dress. I think it's the collar - there is too much fabric in the collar and shoulders. It's somehow taking away from your lovely bosom and hourglass shape, that most women would kill for, and shortening your neck.

I think if this dress were collarless and/or sleeveless, you would have your dress.

Put me on Team Keep Looking.
Boy, I have to say I think this is a tough one to style. The pull from the Big Nurse gravitational field is strong... I'm thinking you're not willing to wear high-heeled gladiator sandals, which may not be able to stand-up to the ponte in any case, right?

I think the key would be to channel Angelina Jolie doing St. John... which I have to admit is nothing short of powerful wizardry. I've tried to figure out what she does to take away the dowdy, but I'm completely unable to duplicate. If I put on anything St. John, I immediately become a short, fat, helmet-haired old lady with a lot of chintz sofas.
I dunno about this one. The shape and fit is flattering. You could roll the sleeves up and change out the belt and it could be pretty awesome. (Is this a spring dress? I'd prefer white-white for summer.) This looks like a good winter white for cooler weather. Pop on one of your fab jackets and you are ready to go.

Hm, although I DO love Nurse Ratched, it is a pretty close likeness with the long sleeves and collar. Definitely remove the brooch. Could you unbutton it one more? And maybe add a necklace or scarf?

I really want a white dress, but have not been finding what I want. I tried a linen sheath and it was not a good fit (haven't given up, just haven't found another that is long enough yet). This one is more interesting, but can I style it so I don't look like Nurse Ratched (#2) or just move on?
Pros: Ponte knit with great drape and no bust gape
Cons: not white white (more ivory) and so not sure how to make it work worthy

Shown with Ted Baker leopard pumps. I would definitely change out the self belt for something metallic or? and remove the enormous brooch that came with it. Could it work? Does it look too top heavy?
