LOVE #1. Really like 3. Don't like the moto at all, unfortunately... the others blow it out of the water.

OK, definitely keeping the plaid, as I already mentioned. I LOVE it.

I am most likely going to return the tapestry moto. It would just annoy me with a moto if I can't wear it closed on occasion since I still think of them primarily as outerwear (as opposed to a blazer). I actually think I need to stop trying motos unless they are very cropped (<20" long) - in my defense though the length measurements for this one were all over the map (18-28" depending on the website) so I had no idea how long it would be. I still want a tapestry jacket though! I am not concerned about it dating - like I said, Victorian florals are one of those things I have a sugar eye for...

Am still waffling on the Heed lace jacket. Mochi, I agree that I like the back better than the front. I think I need to try it with different tops (will try to post photos in the next day or two) before I decide. By the way, if I were planning to wear it all buttoned up (which I am not) I would consider replacing the hooks with a hidden zipper. The hooks as is are too far spaced which causes the appearance of pulling even though the fit feels fine (plus the material is slightly stretchy).

Hmm. I actually really like the plaid moto. That said, I know it's a trendy item and am wondering if you will tire of it quickly.

The Heed jacket: I know rationally that it's not too small, but in the first few unbuttoned pics, the way it spreads open, to my eye it *looks* small on you.

I also had thought of ordering it, and the neckline was what stopped me from even trying it out. It's a difficult one to style, and also to me it says "ladylike" and clashes with the romantic sweep of the jacket's cut in the back. It just looks like two different jackets to me (but maybe seeing the actual jacket, this wouldn't be the case?)

I also like the plaid jacket a lot. It fits beautifully in the back, and looks great in the front too. For someone who says she has trouble with double-breasted styles, no one would ever guess! You will have a lot of fun with this one.

OMG - that plaid jacket is amazing on you Diana! Love the fit and the details - definitely keep!

The lace jacket is also beautiful on you. I see what you mean about it being too buttoned up for you when all done up, but it is absolutely beautiful when open.

I'm afraid I don't care for the floral tapestry moto. The colours kind of wash you out a bit and the fit is just kind of "meh".

Two out of three is great, don't you think?

(Have not read the comments).

Plaid is KILLER.

The lace jacket is KILLER worn open. Love the neckline and silhouette on you!! It's a tad snug closed up, but that wouldn't be a deal breaker at all.

The tapestry jacket is the weakest of the three. Great worn open, but ill-fitting when worn closed.

I was meh on the lace jacket, until I saw the back. That is really a special/cool cut and if you have enough things to wear it with I vote keep.

I'm not crazy about the tapestry. The fabric looks stiff and bulky and I'd prefer a brighter or deeper print for you, but I love the *idea* of a tapestry moto, so please keep looking for one if you don't keep this one!

I absolutely LOVE the plaid. It fits your perfect figure like a dream and is the cutest cut ever. Please keep and feature often in your WIWs!

I vote definitely keep the plaid jacket! It looks fabulous on you.

The Lace jacket is pretty, especially the back, but looks a bit snug, especially closed.

The tapestry jacket looks great open, but only okay closed.

Okay. I'm going to be an outlier...

The plaid jacket is a shoo-in. Absolutely great fit, and I have a soft spot for plaid.

The lace is lovely, and I DO think the neckline is beautiful on you. I'd have said 'keep' but for the concerns that Suz raises --- what's worn underneath would need to be a pretty understated round of scoop neck, I think. Or at best, a square. That neckline's going to fight with any detailing on the neckline of the top or dress below (like your LBD) and won't work too well with V shapes or wrap/surplice styles either, I fear. So... what would you wear it with? That's the question to answer. It is a *very* beautiful piece, but will it work with the rest of your wardrobe and do you like it enough to adjust your wardrobe to highlight it?

Now, the really odd vote: Maybe it's because I share your yen for this type of print, but I nearly jumped up with an Yay on the first photo of the floral jacket. I actually like its lines a whole lot better when it is open rather than closed, and I think I'd go for it if you were pretty sure you'd mostly not be closing it for any great length of time. (I'm not finding the shoulder fit or sleeve length bothersome, but for the shoulder, maybe the print is camouflaging what you can see in real life as looseness?)

100% on board with #3 - it's fabulous! I like #1 but personally struggle with that neckline - if you know how to style it I think it will be a good addition. Not fond of that paritcular floral colot although the fit looks great.

Another vote for the third jacket and the Heed if you have the tops to wear with it.
The floral might work better with the sleeves scrunched to show some arm and definitely worn unbuttoned.

I guess i can say now that I am going to keep the plaid one no matter what. I love it, and I'm glad it looks like all of you do too!

Suz and Kelly, you both make a good point about the neckline on the lace jacket being hard to pair with other necklines. I think this may be a problem for me too and I think I'll have to try it with my existing tops to see if they play nicely. I mostly wear lower necklines, so I'm not sure that is the best with this jacket.
Suz, you are right that the embellished neckline here will compete with the complicated neckline on my LBD too... but I am leaning toward just doing a pashmina with that particular dress right now (or a blazer, because now I am hearing a rumor that the event may be business formal after all).

Wow, these jackets are so romantic and spunky and I can see any one of them fitting into your wardrobe so well.

That said, my favourite is the plaid, hands down - it is SO much fun on you, and I don't think you have anything similar.

I also adore the blue lace. My one concern with that one is I know you were hoping to find a dressy topper for your LBD, and this would not be it.

The neckline itself looks just fine on you, I think. But that kind of neckline can be difficult if you don't have the right tops for it. You need something simple for it to work.

I'm afraid I'm not as crazy about the tapestry jacket; I don't think the fit is as good on it.

All the jackets that I ordered from Nordie's last week have arrived! Please note, I'm not asking you to compare these three jackets. They are obviously very different and will serve different purposes. Hence I can keep all, or some, or none.

First up is the navy Heed lace jacket. I sized up as per Angie's and reviewer's comments, and the fit seems good. It also feels comfortable on. I would probably usually wear this open or with one hook closed only. When it's closed all the way, it's too buttoned up for me, plus there is the dreaded bust gape (I could easily add an extra hook to fix that though). What do you think of this neckline style on me? I usually prefer something with lapels and am unsure whether I like this neckline.

Next is the Free People distressed tapestry moto. I think I have a sugar eye for tapestry prints, especially more vibrant colored ones like this one. I really like the way it looks open but is too long (once again, remember the teal motos?) in the torso when closed, which makes the bottom too tight as it hits at the high hip and not the waist. I would not want to size up as the shoulders on this one are already loose. The material is pretty heavy so I think it would be like an early fall/late spring outerwear jacket, but it is flexible/soft enough that I might be able to wear it indoors in winter as well. So maybe I never need to close it?

Finally, we have the Max&Mia plaid riding jacket. The fit feels very good to me and the length is good too. The colors are off in the photos but it is a slightly tweedy looking black background with beige and burgundy plaid, plus it has dark brown faux leather accents (including elbow patches!). I did size up based on reviewer comments and general comments that this brand runs small. It is slightly roomy, but the buckles at the back are adjustable, so I cinched them in at the waist a bit and it was perfect. I think the ability to tighten the waist also helped mitigate the fact that double breasted styles are not the best on me.
