The first pair could be a bit shorter--I'd play around and see what you think, keeping Angie's guideline of 2"-4" above ankle bone in mind. I think the Mother rascal looks okay at the current length, for wearing with variety of shoe options--I also like my "ankle" jeans to be very near the ankle. <br />On the white ones, I'm torn. They don't look immediately as good as the black pairs, but I also understand white jeans not photographing all that well and looking better in real life. If you keep, I do think they should be cropped a bit shorter to look intentional. My test would be: how eager are you to wear them? When I move they look fine, but there is a crease on the right that is prominent. Sizing up won't help, because these are the correct fit. </p> <p>Above-ankle jeans tend to hit me at the ankle or slightly below. It's a good length for me because I always wear flats, but I don't want it to look like I'm missing the make on their intended style. As it happens, I had ordered five bottoms--three of them black-- as alternatives to my blue denims</p> <p>Here's the short list of my attempt to branch out in colour and silhouette. </p> <p>Pics 1 and 2: 3x1 cropped baby bell bottoms, with distressed thighs. Thicker denim, slight gap in waist. </p> <p>Pics 3 and 4: Mother rascal ankle bottoms. Fits more like a legging, but quite comfortable and no gap in the waist. </p> <p>Pics 5-7: AG Layla crop bell bottoms. White denim that doesn't reveal knicker colour--it's possible! I think these look better in person than in the pic. They're also the first white pair that doesn't make me look sausagey. </p> <p>Comments, yays and nays welcome. </p> <p>Also, don't mind the 80s style shirt hem. Lounge wear. </p>
