Thanks again all - I have now tried the blue jumpsuit in SPet , MPet and S Misses. If I had more time and was near a Nordies, I'd keep the S Misses, and have it taken up at the shoulders and hemmed, as it gives me a better (lower) waist point and rise, and has a bit more sleevage coverage. That is the challenge with a jumpsuit - have to fit both upper and lower body with the same garment. I am usually a petite top but often a misses pant for both rise and length (petites are an inch too short, misses are an inch too long). But no time to get all that done. So, the other jumpsuit comes on Monday, and if that isn't amazingly great, it will be the raspberry lace and the black fit and flare. And I will be be perfectly happy. Plus I have now learned by trying new silhouettes/colors/styles. Next time I will start earlier.

I just bought cheap but soft brushes from e.l.f. at Target - $1 and $3. They help a lot. I will invest in good ones when I figure out the techniques.

The lace dress is stunning. I've never owned a jumpsuit, unsure about them. You look great in it! I do wonder if the waist looks a bit high.

Yep, burgundy lace all the way And agreeing about the eyeshadow brushes, they have much better control than the little applicators. Ive bought them at the dollar tree and they've been fine for years of daily use.

Since you can buy two, get the jumpsuit too!

I bought one a few months back and have been wearing it quite a lot. For work I pair it with a (slightly cropped) white jacket or a cream silk cardigan. For casual, I pop on a jean jacket. For parties I wear it with bare arms, but a tuxedo jacket would work too, or a wrap.

You get used to the bathroom issue -- and accept that the trade off is that the jumpsuit is as cozy and comfy as wearing pajamas.

Love your choices!!! You really look fantastic. I would do nude hosiery and then I think you could do the metallic slingback with ease. I think that clutch has too much texture and will compete with the lace. Sleek black would be better. The earring might also compete with the dress, although bc of shape. Bling is fine. Maybe a more "solid" earring.

Say "yes" to the wine red lace dress. I like the idea of a jump suit . Just don't actually wear it if you will be drinking any cocktails...or wine or beer either. Don't ask how I know, but jumpsuits are not restroom friendly if you are sober.

To everyone who mentioned "fun" - YES! I think Isabel hit the nail on the head. The black dress fit and shape are good, but the color actually had me thinking, "well, you never know when you might need a somber dress - it is practical". I still quite like it and may keep it if DH vastly prefers it to one of the jumpsuits, but why be practical if I don't need to be?

abc - good advice - I'm not good with makeup - hence a single shadow compact lasting me for over a decade. I definitely need to research the minimalist eyeshadow brush set up - I only have one. And it is interesting to to see in the photos how it doesn't look like that much, while when I was applying it, I thought it was over the top.

Lace dress and jumpsuit, they look great and they're different from each other so, options. I still like the black dress but it looks a little too staid and funereal in comparison. Plus you look like you're feeling way better about everything in these. Maybe you're just not a black dress person right now? I love the idea but I put one on and I feel like any exuberance just gets squashed.

You’ve got the dresses squared away, the wine lace is divine.

I’d suggest that you invest in a couple of eyeshadow brushes if you don’t have any yet. They’ll make all the difference. I’m a big fan of those Dior palettes but you really need a brush to put it on with and a blending brush to really make it worth the investment.

These are both great on you. The raspberry is really nice and quite transseasonal in my opinion. Definitely nude or pale hose......softer with the lace.

I love the jumpsuit idea but I also like the black dress. Go with your heart as for these occasions you want to feel happy. I don't worry about the bathroom thing with a jumpsuit - it is just a slight inconvenience.

If you don't have a cocktail LBD I do think owning one is a really useful piece to pull out. I am biased as I have four LBD ranging from super casual to work to cocktail sheath to a lace one!!

You look GORGEOUS in the raspberry lace dress! Of the pieces you have shown here, it is my absolute favourite.

I like the jumpsuit on you, the style and colour is really nice on you. The only thing is that the waist is a little too high on this one (agree with CG and Brooklyn). But a jumpsuit would be such a great style for you as a variation to the dress. Maybe try a few other jumpsuits if there are any out there?

The black dress is pretty, but the raspberry one is a knockout.

I have the exact same eye shadow palette, bought in the summer and love it, waving at the twin! Although I think the colours are more perfect for you.

ETA - missed you have ordered the other jumpsuit, fingers crossed!

I like the detail near the hem in that black dress, and it fits you well. I think you’d feel good in it and it would be, as LBD said, not for standing out from the crowd the way you would in the jumpsuit or the raspberry dress. Then the question is whether you want an option that’s less attention drawing, though still lovely, or two outfits that “pop”.

Yay you enablers! No seriously, I'm actually relieved you all like the raspberry dress so much - I was terrified I had "ooh shiny" googles on and was overlooking a fatal flaw. It's a keeper. Even if DH hates it when he gets back from his trip - I love it that much! I am so glad I kept looking and didn't settle!

I get to buy 2, so now the dilemma. The jumpsuit makes my heart sing a bit more than the black F&F. Work is not a factor (work at home) and frequency of use is of lower importance (this is the first time I've needed a cocktail dress in 3 years). I rush ordered the jumpsuit in additional sizes to see if I can get a more perfect fit, and and am also getting the last Find so we will see Thursday when DH get home.

How about very sheer pewter hose for the raspberry? And are these earring too blingy (if that is even possible?). And how would this clutch be? My other option is simple sleek black.

You have definitely leveled up from your previous post! That wine dress is divine on you. Even in that lighting, it’s clear to see the colors and cut are perfect on you!

And the Charlie’s Angels jumpsuit! Yesssssss, you need to wear this everywhere! You have great arms, you should show them off.

The black drsss in #10 looks great on you as well, but it doesn’t convey the same sense of personality as the other two outfits. It is what you wear if you want to fly under the radar a bit.

What Brooklyn said, although I feel the higher waist looks intentional and modern ... on the photo with the model, the waist also has a higher look to it. The black is lovely, but looks a little less exciting next to these two new finds!

They both look amazing, but it sounds like you'll be happier and more comfortable in the lace dress, since it has sleeves. The jumpsuit is gorgeous, but I agree that you should perhaps keep an eye out for one with sleeves (although a sleeved jumpsuit is a very different look, IMO). Depending on the return policy, you could hang onto this one, with tags attached, while you scope out other options.

I like the navy hose for winter events, but if you want to take the dress into spring, nude might be nice to lighten it up a little (that dress would look very pretty with blush-coloured shoes, just sayin'...).

Love the lace dress. I refuse to even try jumpsuits because of the bathroom issue but this one is cute and fun. I don't see anything wrong with your arms so go ahead and show them off.

Grab the lace dress for sure!
The jumpsuit really looks good on you , so I’d have the same problem of talking myself into sleeveless and then not wearing it IF that’s how you’re likely to do. You can totally wear jumpsuit, so it might be worth holding out for a simple one with short sleeves. I know sleeves are harder to find, though.

Love the first dress on you! The jumpsuit is also lovely. Super glam and a bit different. But CG might be right about the waist sitting a little high. How does it feel? The last dress is nice but I don’t think it’s in the same league as the first 2.

The navy jumpsuit looks so stylish! Love it - regardless of bathroom I practicalities. Red lace dress next. You have a neat and trim figure and pick flattering my shapes, karen13.

Raspberry lace.

The jumpsuit is very flattering, but you fret about sleeveless so it will always be a worry and a bother (from one who has bought more than one “perfect” sleeveless dress then frets each time it’s worn.)

Pewter shoes and nude hose -perfect. Black dress with accessories - also perfect. Winner winner chicken dinner!
