I think I can only do a 1" heel with these for that look. Even the DIY glitter heels look too high on tile.<b></p> <p>Isabel and fashiontern </b>&nbsp;- I didn't post the very unflattering side view of the tuck, but I saw it - my short waist, broad shoulders and bustiness make it a bad look. It really cuts me into awkward proportions that aren't as apparent from the front view. I'm looking at the way the LOFT styled it in both cuts, and tucking definitely looks good on the right shape.&nbsp;Maybe I will look for something that covers the waistband and top button. The Philosophy top is 22" long, so maybe 20 - 21.</p> <p><b>Janet</b> - so true about finding things that fit! You and I both keep getting things that are too big, and the waist in these might need a bit of a nip. I’m I sucker for anything “sailor”—the collars on shirts/dresses and the buttons on bottoms, but these are nice in that they don’t have that “jaunty” look that could get you confused with the guy on the Cracker Jacks box. The subtle stripes are really good. Why don’t you like the top tucked in? This one is more urgent because I want to return these tomorrow if they get the thumbs down.</p> <p>I ordered these when I bought the subtle bling pants I posted my fix about earlier today. I am not sure I need two pairs of dressy pants, and after fixing the droopy buttons, I'm def keeping the black ones. But I love the navy burgundy color combo, and a 5'2" person can't easily walk away from vertical stripes. They come in two fits, Julie (I'm wearing) and Marisa - not sure what the difference is, maybe Marisa is curvier? They weren't terribly expensive (Oh, and all on a 40-50% off sale today). I see both pairs as party, nice dinner in the city pants.</p> <p>My concerns - <br />1) How is the fit/flattery?<br />2) I am short waisted and thus would not tuck (#3 is so you can see the waistband detail). Are the buttons too lost with a high hip top?<br />3) What other tops might look good?<br />4) Will they look dated in a year? Would they be OK if the buttons were removed down the road.</p> <p>The color and striping is more noticeable IRL.
