I have had good pants experiences with LOFT. I love the outfit you styled so I guess I am rooting for this pair. The main thing is whther you will feel comfortable during the day wearing them. Soemtimes I feel like if there is enoguh doubt then I end up not feeling comfy.

I think the fit is good in these, Jenn! I love the color and think I might have to take a look at these for myself!!! I'm 5'9 and have found Loft a great resource for pants in Tall lengths but often times they carry just the basic colors...nice to see a fun one! I vote KEEP!

Good thought, carter. I'll try that in the morning when it's cooler. I think both wearing a belt and tacking the pockets will help with the whiskering. I'm going to take E's advice as well, and wear them around the house for a few hours to make sure they don't bag out.

Maneera - I really appreciate your comment. Curves make pants so difficult!

Viva, Daria, and Lily, thanks for the comments on the styling. Even if I don't end up with this particular pair, you've made me feel I'm on the right track.

Those are cute and a gorgeous color. I love how you've styled them, and I want to swing by my Loft and try them too. I think Carter has a great thought about trying with a belt.

Jenn, I tried these in the slate blue. I loved the color. I loved the idea of slim rolled chinos, but I think the rise was really wrong for me. Because of my shape, the waistband settled on my hips so the crotch felt like it was several inches below where I thought it should be. It looks like you can take a longer rise than I can, but there is still some excess fabric there. If your closet cools off, could you try them with a belt and a fluid top semi-tucked? I think the belt will absorb some of the rise slack and the semi-tuck is just magic for whatever ails you:-)

I think they fit well. They definitely work as you've styled them. And I agree, that degree of whiskering is fine. Since it's a color you've been wanting, I'd say go for it!

E - That is exactly what these do. If I pull the front waist up, the whiskering is gone. It's so comforting to hear I'm not the only one!

Daria - I would probably be styling them for autumn. Rolled up a couple turns with casual layering on top and Chucks, Oxfords, or booties.

ETA: Styling photo. I would try on more, but it's a jillion degrees in my closet. :)

I love them! I'd wear them around a bit with the tags on (at home obviously) to make sure they're not going to bag out so much you end up having to keep tugging the waistband up. But they look perfect for a bookworm flaneuse!

I get similar whiskering on all of my skinnies & trousers except the super high waisted ones that sit at my natural waist and the wide-legged ones that fall straight down from the waistband. When I pull the waistband up, the whiskering disappears. So I don't think it's due to the tightness, just an issue of having a long rise. It used to annoy me, and it still does sometimes in WIW photos, but in real life if someone's staring at the area I'm going to have bigger issues than whether or not they see whiskering.

It's probably worth it to say that I will never wear these with fully-tucked tops as shown. Just wanted to show the fit. I'd also most likely tack the pockets.

I like the fit. I love that colour! I have that much whiskering (or probably more) on ALL my pants. It's common for curvier women. It's very hard to find no whiskering at all...you might if you wear an uncomfortably low rise though

With a bigger size, you'll have to go through the hassle of fitting it everywhere but the seat of the pants - so waist and probably even thighs.

I ordered these pants from LOFT because I was excited about the ochre color (which shows up a lot in my inspiration pins) and because they came in a tall, which often solves my long-rise problems (also, I'm 5'9" so borderline for tall sizes anyway). Plus, I'm in pretty desperate need of pants... although not so desperate I'll settle for anything.

Now that they're here, I can't decide. They're a little slouchy in the front (which I'm okay with), very curve-hugging in the rear (story of my life), and there's some whiskering going on, even though the fit is quite comfortable. What do you all think? I can't size up or down, as both are out of stock, so they'll just go back if I decide against them.
