Thanks to everyone for the feedback! I wore the "new" burgundy shoes, pants, and navy sweater with different pearl earring to my casual festive dinner tonight and got lots of compliments. I will keep the lace sleeve blouse and wear it (tucked!) for my holiday family dinner.

Angie - I just picked up my new spec and they are fab. I will post a pic soon. I would not have picked them without YLF's help and I love them.

The before-and-after for the shoes is quite amazing. I think both pairs are worth keeping.

I agree with the others that the blouse, when tucked, looks good. I like the color and the lace detailing.

The pearls look beautiful!

#2 and #3 are fabulous, Karen. Classic, chic and elegant.

And nice job on the "new shoes". When are you getting your new specs?

Tucked in. There is no problem with your top half in #2, and your legs in that shot go on and on.

I agree with Sarah. The blouse could be fine untucked with skinnies and add your " new" burgundy shoes. The sailor pants were a wonderful find and do make you look tall.

I LOVE the look with the cashmere!

I also like the wine blouse tucked in. Your proportions don't look off to me. I don't care for the un-tucked look, it seems unfinished, but the blouse might be fine untucked in a more casual outfit, maybe with skinny jeans?

Well done on the shoes! I think in the burgundy color they do not look too dated.

The shoes look great! I've found with Tarrago that it needs touchups, but it's so easy with just my fingertip.

The whole point of sailor pants is to see the button detail. I agree with JD that the pants look good tucked it. I think you should keep the top. It's very pretty.

I've always thought that sailor pants look best with a tucked top. I don't think you look stumpy at all, in fact, I think the top tucked into the pants is very flattering and stylish.

Fingers crossed that the shoes hold up, they look great!

Angie made the point that these Sailor Stripe pants needed to be worn long, so I exchanged the petite Julie fit (which was a tad big) for a misses Marisa fit and hemmed them for heels (I figured I wasn't going to be wearing them anywhere I wouldnt be sitting a lot., and I'm trying to look tall). While in LOFT, I saw this wine blouse on big markdown - it isn't a petite so the hem and sleeves are a tad long. Should I keep or return?

If Keep, is there a way to tuck that doesn't stumpify me and my very short waist. Or is untucked OK? It hides the sailor detail on the pants, but I still like them.

In digging thought the closet, I found the corporate shoebox from my late 90's life with navy pumps and horrible brown loafer heels. But the block heels looked reasonably current and they are both wide width so I polished the navy and experimented with Tarrago Shoe dye/paint on the loafer. The now burgundy pumps will probably be what I wear to a casually dressy dinner tomorrow instead instead of the blue pumps.

1-2 K/R tucked and untucked, and how should I style if I keep?
3 Navy Cashmere sweater with pearls for Angie (doubled long strand and a single).
4 the navy pumps I haven't worn in at least 13 years - couldn't model the DIY, as they are still drying)
5 Before and one coat after of Tarrago Burgundy Self Shine
6 The Finished DIY - $8 dollars later. We will see how they hold up, but The shoes were going to be donated so no loss. Lots of great advice in old YFL threads on this process!

Thoughts? Are the shoes current enough to salvage? Styling suggestions?
