I would wear the skirt if your work environment is not formal, or a super-conservative business, such as banking. &nbsp; And then... My answer to "How much thigh can a skirt&nbsp;expose in a professional (office, lab, etc.) setting?" is "None, when standing, and very little, when sitting." (Do a sit test in front of a mirror to understand how much more thigh gets exposed when you sit and cross your legs.)&nbsp;The deal is, you want to be professional at work. I think if it fits in with your closet &amp; you're comfortable with the mini length&nbsp;it could be a nice casual/going out piece.</p> <p>Even with tights I wouldn't call it work appropriate though, because in my mind the shortest a skirt should be for work is right above the knee cap. Regarding the length, I'm not sure if this makes a difference in real life vs the photo, but I have short calves, and the skirt is sitting on my hip, not my waist. It is bottle green, and instead of fitting at my waist, it sits lower on the hip. I like the length. Enough room in the skirt for weight/bloating to fluctuate without major repercussions. &nbsp; </p>
