YAY. You did it. Glad you like your new cords.

The size indicator is just a number. ALWAYS got to go with which number fits best. Sizes are very inconsistent, even across the same style in different colours. Patience is a style requirement for sure. xo

Thanks everyone! I wore (the bigger size) around the house last night and they feel good...they stretched a little. I like them on now.

How would I figure out how to dress without this group?!

I truly don't know how sizing actually works. That lower size is the size I wear in BR and AT pants, and also the size that the Nordstrom "best fit" recommended. But consensus is that they were too tight. Are all KUT pants cut the same, or does it depend on the style?

I like them in the bigger size! I find cords and velvet pants always fit a little different, maybe because of the material. The Gap legging jeans in cord were terrible on me as were the BFs.

I like the size up, but you mentioned that they pull at the crotch. That gets a "send them back" from me. Too annoying and uncomfortable. I'd try the Marisa ones at the Loft and see if they don't pull.

Glad you're keeping them, gardenchick. When I saw the first pictures, I thought they fit you very much like they fit me. A close fit but not constricting. I really like them on you.

I prefer the size up. The whiskers are fine - and they will stretch out a bit too.

This is all very helpful. I think I don't quite understand how these skinny cords are supposed to fit!
These pictures are one size down from the previous pair--I had ordered these first. They feel tight, but now that I look at them again, perhaps I should go with the smaller size. They don't feel too tight when I sit down, I also like the length more. Hmmm...

I think they look good, too (although admittedly it is a bit tough to tell since they are dark.) Do they FEEL like they don't fit? Have you tried the sit test, etc.? That is key. If they feel okay, then you are good.

If the cords are anything like the Kut jeans (not cords) that I own, they will stretch out. I wouldn't say that mine "bag" exactly, but they do stretch and relax a bit. So you might want to wear these for a few hours in your house with tags still on, to see how they act.

I find the silhouette looks good from what I can tell -- footwear will add balance.

You can adjust the length depending on the amount of scrunch you prefer. I like less for a clean look, but others like more scrunch because they feel it adds balance or weight to the bottom of the leg -- it is personal. You can also probably just turn these under without fixing them in any way -- I'll bet they stay at whatever length you adjust them to.

Thanks...I'm surprised to hear that you think they fit. Maybe I'm just not used to skinny pants. Is the pullIng a little at the crotch ok?

Also about the length-- do I need to have them shortened, or is it ok to roll them? They are quite long.

But if you're after a curvy fit - try the "Marisa" fit at the Loft.

I'm just figuring this out, but recently I tried on whole lot of jeans and found that a straighter leg works better for me because it gives my legs better proportions. For me, I found that the skinnier legs produced a more ice cream cone effect. Not a great look! The straight legs were more flattering and slimming.
These look nice to me but the Kut Diana also comes in a baby bootcut leg that might be worth trying for a comparison.

I sent away for these as per Angie's suggestion. But I don't think they do much..I think they're too tight and just don't fit right.
Maybe I need a different fit rather than the Diana? I am a little bit curvy, not a rectangle, and this fit doesn't seem to flatter me. A more slouchy fit would be more slimming, I think.
Any thoughts or other ideas?
