I think I'm going to start asking her more questions!</p> <p>Kari - the potato trick is something my Grandmother taught me. When a shoe is too narrow across the toes and front of the shoe, you can stretch the leather by shoving a potato that is slightly wider then that part of the shoe inside. The potato is soft so doesn't damage the leather and it slowly stretches that part. Check after a couple of hours and reinsert the potato as required. Whenever Inge does this, I'm immediately checking everything she's suggested for the person who has asked a question about something, because she picks out really good things! I might not be looking for whatever it was that the original poster was asking about, but when Inge goes looking and posting - she's got this knack for finding the best stuff in a sea of offerings. I am not sure how she does it, but when it happens, it's like magic. I'm like, "How'd you find that?" and so on.
