Talbots. Sleeve fit is great. Bottom button pulls a tad bit , but that’s 90% of coats for me (and why the sleeves fit). One possibily to fix that would be to reorder in a petite size. That often helps. There is also extra fabric on the back of the torso that bunches out over the belt. </p> <p>2. Michael Kors. The Rack now has a carnation pink version of the black one above. Sleeves too large and long, otherwise fit is good. The only fix here would be altering. And I may be wrong, but I sense that, as cute as the dotted coat was on you, it lacked a certain grown-up, glamorous sweep that one gets from a longer, traditional trench.&nbsp; I've never had much luck with buttoned trench coats, either, but I longed for that look.&nbsp; Last year in a thrift shop I found a long silky vintage raincoat in the most ethereal shade of luminous sea green. It has a tie belt, and only one button--at the neck, for buttoning up against the weather.&nbsp; Mostly I wear it open, hands in pockets, tie dangling from the belt loops, and I feel mysterious and romantic.&nbsp; If that's the feeling you're looking for, you probably won't get it from the Talbot's &amp; Boden stroller coats, attractive and practical as they may be. The red is super cute! But, the fabrication is very different between the two. As you saw, the blue dot is a fairly flexible, not likely water resistant, material, and lined in a great jade green. The red is much stiffer, almost as if it has a weather resistant coating, and unlined, though the seams are beautifully taped with contrasting fabric. I’m looking for something with the fabrication of the blue dot, with a belt, no hood, and in a solid, so I left both at the store. I like this, but it illustrates the fit issue I have with the classic trenches that are narrower in the hips. This one fits across my hips wonderfully. But it’s a little large on top as a result. It’s lots better than the one I own (pic 2 above) but not perfect unless I accept that the top will always have to be too large on me.
