Thanks for the quick feedback! This forum is so great...
3style- thanks for that observation, and it would work well considering how many of my wardrobe bottoms are black!
Delurked - #5 is an old standby James Perse Jersey dress. Ruching, v-neck, stretch, sewn-in lining and longer length make this a staple for me (wordrobe workhorse, if I'm using terminology correctly!).
Sus - thanks! Final shortest dress is my quick attempt to simulate shorts - I'm pretty sure I have some in my closet but for quick tryons couldn't find them! Lol. Maybe I've purged them already. If so, then to make this shorter length I'd probably, pop black capris underneath and try out Angie's summer column of black formula.

It sounds like the comfort is sublime and for that reason alone they might be worth keeping. Add on-off convenience and versatility and they're winners. I do think they work better with the knee length and longer skirt options.

I like the high vamp and think the neutral color works well with your variety of looks. Is outfit 5 the black dress Angie recommended? I still keep pondering that dress...

I know this bucks conventional wisdom, but I like them better with the contrasting bottoms, especially black or black with pattern. I feel like having the two different colors helps to emphasizes the large amount of space between the hem of skirt or cropped pants and the shoes. To my eye, it makes your legs look longer and thinner than with the other more tonal looks. Not sure if that principle would hold true for black full-length pants, but you could demonstrate that for us.

I'm in search of a "slip on and go" shoe that (1) might help me towards my goal of feeling more put together as a mom/business woman on the go; and (2) is comfy. For background/context, I have the vionic samar backstrap sandal in white which I LOOOVE, but I'm finding that in the time it takes to get the back strap secured on my heel, the little one has plunged out the door and down the steps on her own! Can't continue with that. Also the metallic hardware skews them slightly more dressy, so ideally something without hardware might be a better match. Sandals with thong between toes always give me blisters, so that style won't work for me. And usually other standard slides bother me due to the flapping of the sole (does that make sense?) / very open, uncontained - with a chance of my foot sliding out any moment - from them only being attached to the very front of the foot. The extra coverage on these, the thumbs up for team high volume feet, and the reviews of the super soft leather intrigued me. The distressed look would hold up well I think with the wear/tear, scenarios they'd be put through. So, I pulled the trigger.
My immediate thought was no. With them coming so far up on the top of the foot, it cuts off my leg line, which isn't the best look for my already-chunky ankles & calves. I went with the clover color to try to achieve as close to skin tone as possible to lengthen leg line. I'm wondering if this is a trendy/current look that I need to adjust my eye to?
Because oh my goodness they are like walking on clouds.
Honest thoughts? These were a big ticket purchase for me, so for the $$$ want to be completely certain of them...
Some pics with bottoms. Ideally I could skew them from casual to smart casual with skirts for church. If needed for accurate judging, I can update with toppers and/or more complete outfits.
