I could potentially get darts put into the bust for a closer fit there, but it'd be an expensive alteration for maybe not a noticeable difference.</p> <p>I like the blazer much more when I think of it as, like MsMaven called it, a wool jacket. It's a good outerwear fit! In my climate, it's not impractical to treat it as such, either. The sleeves are a bit long, but not overly so, and I know too well that, unless you can find what you want in Petite sizing, sleeves will be long. I was lucky enough to find a very similar Talbot Petites jacket (black &amp; white bird's eye check with pink felt undercollar) in a thrift shop this year--a perfect fit for $10! The photos are showing the size 0 which is my typical J.Crew size, and the shoulder width feels exactly right (although I agree with you that it sometimes looks a bit large).
