I just prefer to see minimal creasing in the back along the legs and where your tush meets your legs, I guess. Or maybe it's just more noticeable to me on lighter-colored pants, vs. dark or black denim or pants? They just look ill-fitting to me. I would size up and have the waist taken in. Just my very opinionated two cents :). (EDIT: there is one 1/2 mile from our hotel - yippee!) I must say these are feeling a tad looser after sitting at the computer for a half hour. But to those with low rise issues - these are a reasonable 9", so worth a try. I think I'm going to wear them the afternoon in the house and see where the fit is after that. The have a bit of slouch to them. If you want them really fitted, go down a size but then you may not reach for them as often because they are going to be tighter. A slightly slouchy skinny jean, even with the crotch pulled down a tad lower, is a fashion look I'm seeing right now. I think the sweater is going back but I included a shot with it just the same. It feels too boxy and the red is more orangey than I'd prefer.<br /> On to the cords! Are these ones finally it? I like the rise and cut, and leg length is perfect on me, no hemming required. I did think they would be a tad darker, but I do like the color even so. I was surprised to see the zipper and seaming detail on the back pockets is almost identical to my red zipper moto jeans that I love. That was a fun bonus discovery! Are they snug enough?
