Suz, I did size up on the Boutique 9 shoes. I am normally 6.5 or 7 and got these in 7.5.

I think you are right about the Gibson jacket being great in the fall. If it works well with my work clothes and I decide to keep it, I'll need to remember that I have pretty much a complete complement of jackets for work - cropped black, short navy, and this one - and need to refrain from buying any more jackets.

What a feast! I really like the Gibson on you, assuming you can get the fit issue "ironed" out (ha ha)...for some reason I get a strong feeling that you might wear it a lot in the fall. The longer back is super flattering with that curved hem.

The Nic and Zoe is sweet, too, and what a neat thing you can wear it in summer.

LOVE those Boutique 9s on you! Love them period. Did you size up or not?

As for the other oxfords, they are very cute at the price and if they would be useful for work, why not, as long as comfort is there?

Ah, it's so nice to have all the great advice here from the sharp-eyed YLFabbers! Sarah, I did not even notice the strange fit on the Gibson jacket on one side but now that you have commented on it, I will see whether it needs to be ironed out.

Jenava, yes, these are Angie's oxfords. I am going back and forth on these - if they had closed toe, they would be so much more practical for me - but on the other hand, they look very fun and funky this way. Sarah, I am not sure that the oxfords are too much alike - the completely flat ones are much more low-key and would be my work shoes, whereas the other would be more "fun shoes". But then again, if only there were some supersoft nude laceless oxfords with 2.5" heel and closed toes out there, that would be perfect hybrid of these two...

It looks like the small sizes in the Gibson jacket are all sold out. On the other hand, I may be able to try gently washing this one without fear of it shrinking completely (it is supposed to be dry-cleaned but I would love to be able to wash it). I'll need to test it out in various combos with my dress pants to see if the length works (because of the longer length, I was hoping to wear it either with skinnies for casual days or with Martin skinny pants for more dressy options). I will look for Kelly's, Una's, and Janet's WIWs for inspiration on how to wear the Gibson jacket.

Janet, I think you are right - the dark buttons on the red jacket are sticking out a bit to my eye, too. I could always change them, I suppose. I don't ever wear jackets buttoned, for some reason, so I am usually more concerned with how they fit and look open.

Those are the same booties Angie has, right?

FWIW, I am not a huge fan of the red jacket with the floral top. I think it looks better with the white and red top.

It all looks GREAT! I love the shoes, especially. I really like the outfit in the last pic with the green skirt. The grey jacket with the floral is awesome.

These all look good to me! The Gibson jacket (which I have) goes either way - I felt like my normal size was quite fitted, and a size up more boyfriend-y, but both worked.

These are great finds! Based upon comments, you might be able to go down a size in the Gibson, but I agree that the one you have just has a little more ease -- not really "too big." The red jacket and shoes would be great additions to your wardrobe. Kudos for waiting until the price was right for you!

I have the Gibson jacket in black, and my experience is similar to Kelly's -- i sized down because it was roomy in the body and the arms went a little snug, but the jacket is stretchy enough that after some hours of wear, it gave and now feels just fine. I think it's the kind of jacket that you can go either way with -- a little roomier for a slightly easier fit or sized down to be a bit more fitted, which was my preference. I think here it looks good as a slightly more boyfriend-y look.

I like the red as well -- the color is fab on you -- but I'm curious to see it closed. Will you wear it closed at all? My eye keeps going straight to the black buttons.

The shoes are cute too -- I think those are the same ones my sister bought and has worn to death. I hope they pass the comfort test!

I prefer the red jacket, but can see the versatility of the grey. I would wear a shorter top with the grey (or tuck the one you have on). I like both shoes, but I find with open toed booties the top of my feet end up sweating (because they are summer shoes) and I really can't do them. If this is not an issue for you and they are both comfortable I believe you cannot have enough nude shoes - I wear mine with everything.

I LOVE that NZ jacket on you. I'm a bit less sure about the Gibson, as it doesn't seem to lie flat in the front (on the left hand side of the photo). If you press it does it lie flat? I love both pairs of oxfords - LOVE them. But I'm wondering if they're too similar to keep them both. What do you think?

I think you have four FAB finds here! I like the longer length of the grey jacket with the curving front hem, and I like the more classic length of the Nick & Zoe (GREAT colour on you, by the way!). Don't think you should size up, because then the back hemline is likely to splay out too much -- right now it looks just so, and very flattering. The brogues, I think, are an especially lucky find --- they look really good and are a great colour, so fingers crossed that they prove comfy.

I really like all the combos you show plus I think the colours are so great that I think you could mix in other pieces from your wardrobe... I am going to look out for that green I think - it looks great how you have done it with the red/blouse etc etc! Nice work!

Oooh, you look amazing in that Nic &Zoe jacket! The color and fit are gorgeous on you! I don't see any bunching either. The Riding Jacket looks great as well. What I notice about that jacket is if it fits well in the shoulders, the arms are on the snug side. I can't layer much under mine. Love the Boutique 9s and the flat oxfords. As long as those are comfy, I vote keep!

ETA: I really love the longer length of the Gibson. Makes it different from my other jackets. I think you will find it versatile : )

I like the 2nd jacket, the red one, cos the length is just cute on you. The first one, gray one, is a bit too long for you, to my eye... and I'm no expert. Or maybe it could be just your top underneath that is a little too long? But I like you in the red top with the red jacket!

Came home to find a stack of packages waiting for me. I tried to fill a few semi-holes (as in "nice to have" not "need to have") - a longer jacket for work that is not black or navy, a lightweight summer jacket for work to alternate with the white linen jacket, some nude shoes.... Had fun playing dress-up. What do you think?

#1 - Sveta's Gibson knit riding jacket - I've been waiting and it finally went on sale for $54. I think the fit is good, I was a bit unsure about the shoulder pads being too "football player-like" or too big but I don't think there any sense in sizing down.

#2-3 - Kelly's Nick and Zoe knit jacket. Also on sale ($40), not sure if the size is too small - there is some bunching up around the bust. As Kelly mentioned, the knit is very lightweight, which would be great in the summer. I can't decide if I should try next size up, too.

#3 - Boutique 9 oxfords that Shannon tempted us with. I wasn't planning on buying open-toe shoes this summer but... Great sale, very soft, couldn't be more comfortable for a fairly high-heeled shoes... Basically, here is my dilemma - I don't have any nude shoes with a fairly high heel and I don't wear heels unless they are very stable. So this would be a perfect way to punch up outfits that need a bit of a lift. However, I would probably only wear these outside of work since I try to wear closed-toe shoes for the lab. On the other hand, the price is so reasonable, these could be kept as "going out and weekend" shoes.

#4 - vintagey-looking flat Bronx oxfords I saw on Amazon while I was ordering Boutique 9 shoes. http://www.amazon.com/Bronx-Wo.....038;sr=8-1 For some reason, this particular color was $20 while black and brown were $115. I will need to see whether they will be comfortable when worn for a while inside the house - the leather is not as soft as on the Boutique 9 shoes. If I keep them, they would be my nude flat oxfords to wear to work, perhaps with cropped pants, white denim etc.
