Picked them up at a downtown Winners in Toronto near where I work.</p> <p>My main concern, is with the sweaty/stinky feet thing, but like l'abeille pointed out, they don't cover a lot of the foot. Also, since I actually got a 1/2 size up, I could add a thin absorbing inner sole.</p> <p>Unfrumped and rabbit, those are other thoughts I had. A pair of patent leather shoes that I have and quite like aren't as breathable as regular leather, and they do not have any stretch at all. Also, there is the bunion issue. Sizing up with the faux R/S's seems to have provided a deeper vamp by a smidge.</p> <p>At $40. CA they don't break the bank! So, I think I will wear them around the house for a bit, and see how they fare. By the time I'm ready to go bare legged (April?) Patent leather doesn't stretch either and can eventually show creases that go beneath the surface. Faux patent can sometimes eventually develop a crack at the edge of the opening where they flex. I can often tell with faux and with patents that there will not be enough give, from the get-go.<br />Also I have to be super-careful that the vamp does not cut&nbsp; &nbsp;across any part of bunion area, too--those can feel okay to start, but will not make it through the day.
