I searched Nordstrom reviews to see if anyone else mentioned it (no) and finally called Eileen Fisher customer service. Confirmed: others are experiencing the same annoying situation with Allot flats. EF has no fix so I did a little sleuthing and traced it to just the upper sole against the top of my foot. If I can find the ideal thin mule sock or apply a very thin liner (moleskin?) to just the top of the innersole, I will consider keeping the pair. I found the taupe (Quartz) ones with free shipping for less than half price and ordered a pair. They are not here yet to show you. One thing that concerns me is that the elastic fabric and leather on this color don't look quite the same color. I hope they blend. They will probably look better than black with linen and white bottoms this summer.
