So it's not giving me the oh, what a fab sweater look. I agree, give the very critical eyeball test and don't settle. BTW, I have the same problem-/ if I find cashmere or merino sweaters on a good sale I I am drawn like a magnet to keep adding them even if not perfect instead of picking the one wardrobe- builder I need that may be higher priced. So I am really trying to focus on fit and proportion with the actual bottoms I want to wear it with. If I find a fab sweater that is expensive, I may still have to say, this is not yet at my price point, but at least I'm ahead by having not added 2 or 3 " meh" sweaters in the meantime.
