I love the white on you, but I feel uncertain of the fit. Can you try to get some better pictures?

On a side note, I've found for myself that fabrication texture is super important to me and if a jacket feels too "stiff" I'm not happy with it. I love structure and tailoring but not crunchy fabric. I sent back some cotton blend Zara jackets for that reason -- the blend was not working for me.

Rae, I thought of that, but usually a L is a bit small on me! This thing runs really big! And no, but this was billed as an off-white but it's not very off. I'm not sure white on top is my look these days because I'm more into trying to balance my upper and lower halves. Also to be honest the price drew me in!

Hm, first reaction is that it looks too big all over. Did you go back to wanting white versus taupe? (I know I have been MIA)

Well, I like the jacket my recommendation is to have it tailored. I have a similar style fall winter jacket that was boxy I loved it but the fit was somewhat off. I took it to my seamstress and she worked wonders. Just a suggestion

Of course you are right. I think I want to see the shoulder fit without your arm raised - how that translated to me typing full body shot is a mysterious function of my half awake brain!

Hi Shevia, thanks! The second one is a full body shot... is there a particular kind of shot you're looking for?

I kind of love it on you but understand about the keeping clean factor and want some full body shots.

I jumped right on Angie's link to this jacket (BCBG Dru Double-Front Moto Jacket) and got 50% off with free overnight shipping. Wow. It came tonight and I tried it right on over the shirt and pants I'd worn to work.

what I like:

I've really wanted a white moto jacket and I like how the color looks with this representative sample of my Spring work wardrobe.

I like the whole zipper/flap/moto aspect of the style.

The sleeves would be very easy to shorten.

what I'm not sure of:

the fit is roomy and very boxy, and tends to make me feel tankish. There's a fit problem that I've had before, which is that when a jacket fits up top sometimes it ripples and waves around my hips. I think the jacket looks better in pic 2, but I'm not usually going to be able to jam my hand into my waist to give it definition!

I didn't read the description carefully enough, and didn't realize that this is actually a textured cotton fabric jacket. The fabric is a little bit stiff. Also I wonder if it would be very difficult to keep clean (as opposed to wipeable leather or faux leather).

What do you all think? I only want it if it's a 10 (never written those words before!)

shirt: Two by Vince Camuto || mini houndstooth pants: BR || spectator slingbacks (Angie pick): Ros Hommerson
