I don’t think the second dress is really your style, to be honest - it’s not good enough in cut or fit, looks like a compromise made in the interest of being ‘practical’. The first one is classic and fits you beautifully so it’s a slam dunk - if you have need/want for it. If what you need is a casual knit dress I would personally choose something different than the second one for you.
