These have a lip around the edges like Birks, so they may look a little bit bigger in the photos than in real life. I also realized that maybe I cinched the buckles a tad too tight so my feet were pushed back, plus my toes are on the short side.</p> <p>@Dee: These don't feel heavy at all, but maybe I'm used to heavy shoes? They're not light, but IMHO they weigh less than one would think looking at them.</p> <p>@Janet: They are the right (whole) size, but I guess the question then becomes how I feel about the length.</p> <p>@Indigoprint: I was also surprised at how comfy these babies were out of the box including their aggressive arch support. But my house is small, so who knows? Funny how brands that work for some people don't work for others. . .I found out the hard way with my flowered DMs that booties without zippers really don't work for me. Got a super long shoe horn so that helps.</p> <p>@SarahD8: Thanks for the enabling, ha, ha, ha. I think at least some chunky footwear can work for me because I have chunky legs. I need heft to balance my muscular calves. Really dainty footwear and even dainty jewelry just looks wrong and out of proportion. They’re much, much cheaper in the U.S. ($90) My concern (for me) is that they are too chunky for my stature. I am thinking they are on the edge. But because they are so chunky I could wear socks with them which I really need to do because of my Raynaud’s in my toes.
