You don't need this answer, but hi!

Cobalt is one of my favorite colors, so this would be a no brainer for me! It looks beautiful. I'm already past sweater weather and have other priorities or I'd be really tempted.

Krish, my thoughts exactly...the back strap is also a bit loose on me. That might be helped with some velcro replacement. Well, I still have a few days to consider and have ordered a size up on the Pettys for comparison. Thank you all again.

Lyn - - I thought the same about the Star Wars! You will see soon. Off to check out your fuchsia!

That is a really pretty shade of blue. I really like both sandals. Even though they have ankle straps they don't break up your leg line, which is a major win in my book. I hope that the sizing works out for you.

Coming in late here (again). Keep the cobalt sweater, it looks amazing. But I wouldn't pair it with the skirt because of the cut: How would it look tucked? Although pic 14 is interesting and would certainly work. I love both sandals, the Suttons being my favourite, but won't they hurt your feet if they are too small? Pay attention to that bottom top strap. The Clarks: I have a similar pair from last year (with denim/leather on top instead of silver), wore them all summer. Not clunky at all, and great for wearing shorts, ankle pants or sporty skirts. But they will absolutely stretch. If they are already too big, that may be an issue. I asked a cobbler if it could be fixed but they said no. I ended up padding the soles of mine with insoles and it made it better... however I am not sure if they will be wearable this year! When they are too big, they impede your step, forcing you to walk a certain way, (subtle, but still), which cancels out any benefit you have from them being "Clarks".

Whoa! That cobalt would be so much color for me, too! But it looks so good on you, I think bolder colours are waisting their force (or look the most appropiate for us blondes) when paired with some crisp whites-like you did so well here.
I wear today a bold fuchsia-purpleish denim jacket(see my post in Movie Posters Challenge/2 if interrested) and I was thinking about it, the same, at first. Then, it felt quite right with some whites and greys.
Love both your sandals, pls. keep all the lot!
ETA: I initially tought you are going to post this for Ornella's challenge day2(Stars War), as find it perfectly appropiate for that! :-))
Suz, this blue color is incredible on you - not too intense at all. You really come alive in this color. Actually this is not that strange that this color suits you perfectly but just 'meh' for me as out coloring is so different.
Saying that I have decided to return all Gap sweaters. I cannot stand them being stretched out. I pulled on the hem a couple of times and it was noticeably stretched - too much for my liking. :-(
I like both pairs of sandals and if you live in the summer it makes perfect sense to stock up - after all 3 months is 1/4 of the year - the whole season.
I looked at those SE sandals and was afraid the foot will slip too far in the front while walking because the toe opening is quite big. But if the are comfortable to walk in than keep for sure!
Ok I restrained myself and read the comments first, but I then returned to my first impulse, which was to look at each picture and scream at screen Suz KEEP! The cobalt blue sweater looks wonderful on you and I like both sandals too. The clarks look a bit more comfortable for moving around and the SE's a bit more dressy for different events but they both truly look fab on you. And all the cobalt is incredible on you with the white jeans and the skirt. So KEEP!

Suz, sorry I'm late chiming in.....the cobalt looks amazing on you. I love how you paired it with white, very fresh for spring and summer. Is this the same sweater Sveta posted? Yours looks like true cobalt. FWIW, I like both pairs o shoes. One is chunkier and more casual and the other is a dressier sandal. They are both versatile because of colour and they both elongate the line of the leg. I vote keep both.

Beth Ann, that's a question I have, too. A bright sandal could be really fun. Except I bought one last year and almost never wore it. Largely because it wasn't as comfortable as I expected it to be or as flattering....but still. I am a bit wary now. My main concern with the Clark's is clunkiness, really. Hmmm. Still thinking on those.

I love how you've styled this sweater. It is definitely a keeper. I especially love #1 (I can copy that!) #8, 10, 13, 15, I like the SE's more than the Clark's sandal. I have a preference for sleek polished footwear. The Clark's sandal looks clunky to my eye. But if comfort is what you need I think they are nondescript enough to go unnoticed.

Love the cobalt sweater, Suz! I hope it does not stretch as much as the other one. As for sandals, if you are sure you will use both of them enough why not get both? Also, I agree that since you didn't buy many things from London, you are buying them now.
I am very much like you on this.
Suz- Love you in cobalt and may I say that those white jeans are simply perfection on you. The sweater looks great. I love the SE sandals- they reflect a major trend this season. The other ones don't feel as fresh to me, but if they each serve different purposes and are comfortable for their intended use, then go for it. I own a lot of shoes that I like, but chose over even more appealing ones because I am a on a mission to harbor no further delusions about the comfort level that my feet require. Love the SE booties with cobalt and I might not have tried that without your example. YLF, as always.

Thanks for all your thoughts. I can't believe the sage advice a person can get here.

Sarah, you're right that I don't usually wear heels. But flats are actually far worse for me, unless they have a special athletic sole or something. My ideal sweet spot for a shoe is somewhere between 2 and 2.5 inches. I can go up to 3 inches in a bootie or heel, no higher. These are about 3 inches. But they are a wedge, and that actually makes them feel like no heel at all. I wouldn't wear them if I were running around on a playground chasing a toddler, but my (non-gear) casual life tends to be walking around town now that my daughter is 13. So I think they'd be fine for that.

Unfrumped, I am with you on multiples of anything raspberry, berry, fuchsia...non-black!! Or nude, I guess.

Vicki, you are so sweet. You would look awfully great in this cobalt yourself. Just sayin'.

I love your cobalt purchases! the sweater paired with the skirt totally works and seems very fresh and fun to me. almost a 2 piece dress feel.... now shoes. I like the edeleman more but see what you mean about the top strap non adjustibility. I think trying the size up makes sense b/c keeping the not quite right size leads to orphans in my exp. The clarks -- I cant believe they are comfortable -- they look so high! They do have a less refined vibe and certainly think I personally prefer the outfits you showed with the more polished looking edelmans. I like the clarks for casual summer outfits, but I know i would personally struggle with a heel this high for my casual looks. If you do wear a higher heel (but I dont think you do in the winter at least?) for casual outfits, I think they are great for that purpose.
Love the cobalt sweater! You look fantastic. It does not look too intense in these photos, and it's superb with white bottoms. So I don't see any problem at all. I do find sometimes an intense color makes me look washed out and I may nix it if after trying it in several types of light I still don't think it's fab. But unless you are seeing that yourself, I think the combo of the hi-low and color and fit are hard to beat, so keep! Plus, the cobalt and white also work with taupe, or some versions thereof, anyway.

The sandals both look good. The nude-type colors add some refinement even in the chunkier sole, so that to me is a good thing to look for. Only you can do the fit test, and if you think there's a better fit, then wait, but if it's a minor detail, well, I find it hard to get exact fit in every area so aim for the ones that either affect comfort (blisters, etc) or if it's obvious that there's a big gap or something.

One of my epiphanies is changing my view on which items for me may be good to have in various iterations, that might not come under the typical "lists" of must-haves. For example, a lot of gals have several black jackets--dressy, cropped, long &lean, and so on--since we all know proportions with different bottoms are affected.

My aha moment is that while I used to gravitate to having a lot of black jackets, I thought a bright jacket would need to be a solitary wardrobe item splurge. But since black is getting more difficult to wear near my face, I am starting to see how useful it can be to have several fuchsia/pink/raspberry toppers--similar idea--jean jacket, dressy/short for dresses, casual knit blazer--I can use all of these variations. It's just substituting a signature color or happy color for a neutral.

Same for nude shoes of several types--it is not really possible for me to have a single style or heel height that works equally well with pants, shorts/clamdiggers, & dressy dresses, and yet this color or color range of footwear is extremely versatile and makes outfit creation easy.

So for your sandals I agree that, assuming you identify the features, you could easily use 2 or 3 pairs of nude sandals if you wear them regularly. I think it's most useful for them to differ in some key distinguishing features so that you have at least 2 areas covered--pants/jeans and more dressy outfits , or whatever are 2 or 3 main "event" capsules you need covered.

How amazing is it that your two cobalts match so well and were meant for each other! As Una said, this color loves you as much as fuchsia. I'm still hearing Angie's whistle in my ears! :)

It seems like you live in sandals when the weather is cooperating, so THIS is your real life, not a fantasy. I'm particularly fond of the SE's for their beauty and simplicity.

Well, my navy GAP sweater pills terribly, while the ivory one doesn't! Go figure.

Fingers crossed that your sweater doesn't stretch...

Thank you, Angie!! You are funny as well as kind. And Sarah, it's interesting. Some of us have had stretching issues and others not with this sweater. Very much the way some had pilling and some did not with the cable knit sweater in the winter. Ah, the Gap. Love 'em and hate 'em.

Suz - I didn't notice that it stretched particularly badly, actually. And I didn't wash it on the trip (I think I wore it 3x).

Thank you all - very sage words. I have ordered the SE's a half size larger to compare. Returns are free to the store so what the heck. Might as well see which ones feel better.

Sarah, it's really encouraging to know that you enjoyed wearing the cobalt sweater. Did it stretch much for you on the trip?
