7 is my favorite - in fact you could cuff a bit more ( just me - I'm into wide cuffs). No rolled/double cuff please! And the black shoes are great. If it suits your style, you could even try a chunkier flatformish shoe. A deep cuff can take a heavier shoe I think. Thin soles may be what's making some people see the lower part of the jeans as wider or "heavier." You look great with the tucked tops. Maybe a sharp cropped Jacket too?

Firecracker, I made the cuff deeper in the shots with the white loafers, I think those proportions are better with flats shoes. Thanks for confirming that :). You too, Aliona.

Janet, these ones are positively AWFUL if uncuffed or rolled. They are about two inches off the ground... no way can they be worn "normally".

I love the looks in 4-6. I say keep! I also like the idea of wearing them with the laced ballet flats, but the cuffing in those photos isn't quite as appealing to me. (Yet, I think it's the same cuff you used with the white loafers, which I think is terrific.)

Yes, indeed! I prefer the deeper cuff in 6 and 7, but that's just my personal eye. The nice thing is, you have plenty of options with these.

I quite like the way you've styled them in 4 and 5. Those black sandals add a little more heft and help balance out the wider legs. The bolder tops look great too!

The fit certainly does look good!

Ok, I have two pairs of jeans that are kind of like this. They're actually called Tomboy cut (AG). Unrolled, they are barely long enough on me to wear with my flattest shoes, and they have a loose bootcut effect when worn that way. One pair -- the lighter wash -- is ranch wear. The other, darker wash pair, is at home, and I struggle to style them too. They end up being knock-around-the-house jeans, because of the awkward unrolled length and the bulk and width when they are rolled. I'm not quite sure what to do with them. I might cut them off into crops or the long clamdigger length shorts I favor in summer, because my old jeans I did that with (a positively ancient pair of David Kahn bootcuts) are starting to get worn out.

I do think it helps when I peg them a bit to roll them, so they look a little more streamlined at the calf. But honestly, I have enough jeans that I simply don't reach much for the ones that are more difficult to style.

Thanks El Cee and Shevia.

Gosh Suz, I hope they are a bit better than "cottage capsule" Certainly don't need to be buying anything for there!

I do like them much better rolled rather than the one turn up. Pictures worth 1000 words! the turn up is just too heavy with the wider leg.

I like them. I think they just need to be a bit shorter with the flats (which look terrific). Play around with the roll and perhaps cut off the hem a bit so the roll is less thick.

Well, if they are that comfy could you not use them in the cottage capsule if nothing else? I think they look more boyfriend-y with the extra roll, e.g. 4/ 5.

Thanks all. You are seeing what I am seeing, and I'm not sure if it's a good thing or a bad thing, or just a thing. I can certainly either roll this higher for a wider cuff... or turn them over again so less of the inside of the jean shows (more like the model).

I'm terrible for not styling things when I ask for k/r... I seem to hone right in on the item or area in question, rather than giving people (and me) the whole look. I'll play a bit more with different tops (this is just what I was wearing with different bottoms today), and the roll, and post a few more pics. Maybe tonight, maybe tomorrow... will see how it goes.

I agree with others that the bottom cuffs seem heavy and a bit wide. Would it work to peg them? Otherwise the jeans seem to fit well. Hard call.

This is a tough one. The fit of the jeans is fine, but the bottom seems too wide or too heavy . If they were super baggy boyfriends, then maybe the looser fit from calf down would work, but these don't really look like a true boyfriend - mind you they don't on the model either. I don't see them as frumpy, but I don't see them as fab either. Just in no man's land. Are they worth it just to have as an extra pair?

I agree with Krish--if I find a pair of jeans that fits and flatters my waist, hips and rise, I try to make them work. For these, I'd like to see them styled with a semi tucked or more cropped top. I might also like to see them rolled a scoche higher at the ankle if that's possible? I don't mind the ease around the hips, but something about the bottom looks a tad heavy to me, and I'm not sure if it's the cut or length of the jeans or the proportions of the top that are throwing me off. (I should back off and let those with better eyes for proportion weigh in!)

As Joy says, they're fab with these shoes.

For some reason these jeans caught my eye, some time ago. So when the requisite 40% off came around, I ordered them.

I have to say that these are the most comfortable jeans I think I've ever put on. I might even choose to wear these instead of something stretchy on weekends and evenings! BUT... I want your opinion on the cut of the leg. They fit really well through the waist and hips, but have an ease through the thigh and calf which is wonderful. And may even make them wearable as the temps rise (I generally stop wearing jeans once it gets hot). I did try the size down, and they felt very much like my crops, and given how often I wear jeans, I would happily wear the crops in whatever situation that was. I also think I might wear those to work on a Friday... the turned up cuff makes them just a touch more professional than the raw edge of the crops.

So I guess the question is... do they look fab, frumpy, or somewhere in between (JFE)? Is this bf type of cut looking dated?

ETA: Added photos 4-7: Styled a bit more with my tops and footwear... and rolled twice, and rolled a bit deeper. Better?
