They still look pretty casual and RATE to me, AJ, but again, it depends what you want them for. I like the grey and think it would work well in your wardrobe. And they do seem to fit okay at the top. I know this boot fitting thing is a major challenge for you. I commend you for your ongoing efforts!!

I like them a lot. Nice find!

Err...that is if they *are* leather. Personally, I won't wear synthetic pleather footwear that is closed around the foot anymore (other than fabric/faux suede). They just don't breathe. But YMMV?

These look great to me! are they leather? The details and weathered gray/black look they would go well with other items that have a variety of textures and tailoring details (which looking at a few of the outfits in your last posts, it seems like you have a real eye for) and should work with a lot of neutrals I think.

They look great and if you are happier with/work better than than the brown suede, I'd keep for sure..... although I love the brown suede, but I'm a sucker for that.... these look fab and should be versatile too. It all comes down to how happy you are with them, imo

They look nice to me. Black boots are always versatile. How do they feel? Do they make your feet happy? If so, I say keep. A little cleaning up and they should be fab.

Brand: Wanted
Style: Spike
PROS:

knit top fits my slender ankles, yay!

Originally looking for dark brown, but black still bookends hair.

Wide ankle strap detail helps take focus away from unavoidable ankle slouching due to extra slender ankles.

Good shaft height

Thrifted; needs cleaning, but otherwise in great shape.

CONS: ? You tell me.

1) Detail pic in grey that I found online.
2) Pics of boots on me. Please ignore that I haven't had a chance to clean the exterior. Also look away from my varicose veins in #4. Eeek! :)

Much less RATE than the brown suede lace-ups, no?
