I really love it on others though. I think my main priority is figure flattery and elongating my leg line since I am so petite, so I will try it with the tights. However, that experiment will have to wait until the temp dips below 90s. Just wearing the sweater for the pictures made me break out in a sweat much less tights! I am such a beginner, and I think being fashion forward is an advanced level class </p> <p>Shiny, I know what you mean about the skinnies. I have always worn my booties with bootcut pants, but booties are all the rage now with skirts and skinnies. I don't like the look of them tucked in either and prefer the rolled look but only just slightly. </p> <p>I think I will return these and look for a different bootie to go with my skirts and dresses. That said I actually prefer them with the skirt than the skinnies!! I don't think you look stumpified at all. What bugs me with the skinnies is how they don't really stay tucked in. Sure you could roll them like you've done but will you really wear them this way? As to the look with dresses, I personally think it works great on you. BUT I will acknowledge it takes some getting used to. I got my very first pair of booties to wear with dresses last year and really had to break myself into the look by wearing toned hose (toned to my skirt and shoe). That way you retain the long leg line. Pumps will always look more ladylike, so if that is your style direction, that is where you need to go. But booties are more fashion forward. Love the outfit with the pumps. It is a more traditionally flattering outfit. The booties would be one of those figure flattering priorities issue: are you more interested in a fashion forward outfit and willing to sacrifice some figure flattery for it, or is your priority figure flattery first and fashion forward second?
