Thanks for you and SMITTIE thinking it’s a good eye..........<br /> I am particularly aware of matching seams on red check. A few years back I had to make several costumes for a dance group that needed peasant blouses and 3 tiered gathered ruffle skirts...... in you guessed it- red gingham. Miles and miles and miles of matching checks on then, 36 inch wide fabric. As a seamstress you can probably guess what a fun job that was. Now I when I see any checked garment, my eyes make a beeline for the seams. Good eye! It doesn’t brother me because the print is pretty small and it’s at the side seam. If the mismatch were at the back, that might bother me. </p> <p>Anyway, I kept both, brought them home and ironed them. Too dark to take pics but I am loving the longer one a lot! It could just be my view of picture ( how the dress is hanging in pic) and in reality they all match . That is why I stated it as I did. SMITTIE has to be happy with it not me.<br /> There have been many times I have found seams with stripes or checks not matched up on garments of various quality and/or price points. As a person who sews , it irks me.
