Maybe a different pair in the smaller size won't have the same issue with the fly. They do look like cute jeans and I agree with Angie about shortening them a bit. I like light wash for spring/summer as well.

My Target embroidered jeans are Universal Threads but are not as high rise as I would like. I think they are mid-rise. They wash beautifully. ( cold water, no heat dryer tumble, hang to dry.). I will look for the high rise. Are yours part polyester?

thank you everyone for the feedback! it's been so helpful. my initial thoughts were to either not buy or get the larger size. but reading thru all the comments, I think I'm going to try the smaller size, and wear them around the house for a bit, and see....

and angie, thanks for the comment on the length, I was planning on rolling, and actually tried that in the fitting room, but didn't get a photo....

I vote LIKE! I have a soft spot for lighter denim, especially for summer and this fit on you is also great. I may have to make a Target run myself!

Did you think any further on sizing, now that you have this feedback from the group?

I can see the difference and am not sure which size to recommend. I think you are made for jeans and either would look good!

My main question is always about back pocket placement, and am wondering if these pockets might be a little low and tilted. This is a common problem for me and I often just deal with it although higher rises and oddly, a curvy fit, usuall fixes this.

I realize I’m being very picky and these jeans really do look awesome on you!

Kkards, on the whole, it looks like a cut that suits you. I wish you had indicated which pics were smaller/bigger size. The pair in 3-4-5 have flappy fly syndrome, whcih happens in bad material/construction: it looks like the fabric is creased but in reality it will not uncrease. Anyway, I prefer the fit of those that don't have this issue. they are very cute on you. It's fantastic you can snatch a pair at that price!

I think they look good on you, in particular the larger size, which isn't so tight on your back thighs. (Besides, new jeans may shrink ...). Light jeans always look summery.

I think both sizes fit well. I couldn't tell which was which at first. Smaller size does have an excellent back view.
I'm not a jeans person, I own 3 pairs. I wouldn't wear them enough to justify even a cheap extra pair ( all mine cost way more than that) but if you will get the wear and like the variety, why not? I guess to me they don't look that special...I've seen your other clothes do more for you...

DonnaF-yes it was the pulling at the zipper on the smaller size that had me questioning...but as others point out, i'm not sure how much these will "give" as i wear them, they are 98% cotton/2% spandax...i like the idea of giving them a test run at home (with the tags on of course)
StyleFan, the quality of these jeans is unbelieveable and the styling seems to be spot on as well...

I like the larger size because it doesn’t pull at the top of zipper but I would wear both for a few hours (with the tags still attached) to see how much this style stretches out.

joyce and efbgen...yes these would be more casual, but still good for work...i'd wear them with a blazer and it would balance out...

K- I would love to have any color jeans fit me like those fit you- just saying girl!
I know they say dark wash is preferable but variety is the spice of life.
Plus- I always think I should get a lighter pair for summer. Nothing worse than needing to be in jeans for an entire day and having the sun beating down on dark wash- hot hot hot- not in a good way.

I was in target running my weekend errands and stopped by to see the new denim line- universal threads. Saw this bleached high waisted pair. Tried 2 sizes—but not really sure. I like the idea of the light color, but not sure about these- am I liking this because they are under $30 or because these are a good fit and a nice addition to my denim collection . interested in what people think.
