Once I added the hose to the skirt suit BAM…it's a definite keeper. To find a suit where both the jacket and skirt fit so perfectly is definitely worth keeping. I'm trying to make more of an effort to shop locally.</p> <p>Deborah - I've really been missing the forum too but like you've mentioned, it's been so crazy busy. I'm just now starting to let go of my old job mentally and relax.</p> <p>The trousers are a strange fit - they are very high waisted on me and I actually double checked to make sure they were the petite fit. The backside fits beautifully and the waist, although high, fits very well also. The problem is the crotch area. It's not too low but there is a fair bit of excess fabric in the area from below the waist down to the crotch point. I can grab a handful of fabric on either side of the lower front zipper. Do you know what I mean? It just looks odd and I don't think it's an area you can tailor. I think the size down would be too tight in the butt. I'm going to try them on again today after a cup of coffee and some clarity and see what I think. But I'm leaning towards returning 'cause I don't feel fab in them.&nbsp;</p> <p>BTW I notice the trousers are no longer on the Nygard website so am wondering if they sold out?</p> <p>In terms of the suit, I really like it BUT…I have an Anne Klein black skirt suit in my Amazon cart that I'm considering order for comparison. According to the measurements, the Anne Klein skirt is two inches longer. The beauty of Nygard is they specialize in women's suits so there would be no problem re-ordering if I decided to return it. This position is higher on the ladder for me and I would like to dress the part. I want to still maintain my "funkitude" but ensure it's appropriately combined with the rest of my clothing.</p> <p>I've ordered a black blazer and pencil skirt suit made out of a good quality wool blend suiting fabric, as well as a pair of high-waisted navy drapey trousers with a black tuxedo stripe down each side.&nbsp;</p> <p>Please note that these pictures are horrendous (no make up and undone hair) and the lighting isn't great. Also, I would wear dark hose with the skirt - I think it borders on too short and if keeping, would actually have the one inch seam allowance let down. It does pass the sit down test though. I have also tucked the hem under on the trousers to try and show them at the proper length. They are too long as is.</p> <p>These aren't the best stylings but it's a start - I could also try and get some better pictures tomorrow with at least some daylight from the window instead of the pitch black darkness we're in right now.</p> <p>Over to you ladies…personally I love the suit and can see wearing it as a suit and then also breaking up the pieces with other items. For reference, the black blazer is the same size and make as my white blazer. The skirt is a perfect fit and very comfortable. The trousers I'm a little unsure of.</p> <p>BTW the stress of the last two months has caught up with me in the form of a 7 pound weight gain and ill fitting clothes…poop…</p> <p>P.S. Gain thinks I should keep everything just so he can have the box!</p>
