@Adelpha and @elpgal: The Perlina purse really is the perfect size/shape. If I had found it prior to buying my green purse, I would have purchased the black one for sure.

@Deborah: You're right, I do need to adjust the strap - thankfully it is adjustable. I do wear a lot of black, but very little navy and grey.

@Christieanne: If it was yellow or red, I would have pounced on it. Black is my base neutral.

I almost exclusively wear colors that are dark or bright. I have a lot of clothes that are black, red, dark blue (all that denim), plum and olive green. I also own items that are bright teal, bright orange, bright green, hot pink, cobalt blue, yellow, purple and dark brown.

I own a mid grey top and dress and two blouses with cream as a background and black patterning. Other than those, I own nothing that could possibly be considered pastel or midtone.

I think my instinct to rule out the beige/grey was correct, as it's just doesn't go with the colors I wear. I do really want a black purse, since it will go with everything in my wardrobe. However, maybe I should go for a different size to add versatilty?

What are the main colors you wear?
Yellow is always great in a handbag - can't go wrong there.
Black could be the right neutral for you but maybe a tan/cognac or mid tone brown would be better?
The beige seems off - boring against the coral.

I like to see a cross body bag worn a little bit lower. I actually like both the Perlina bags and I think they would be a very practical addition to my wardrobe, but I don't know you wardrobe well enough yet to make a judgement call here. The beige would be lovely as a contrast to blacks, navy and grey but i don't love it against the color.

Agree with Adelfa. #3 also seems to have the best shape of the three. I'd keep looking.

I really really love the Perlina purse. However I'm not sure either color is what you're looking for. I vote keep looking.

I already own a dark green Coach purse that can work as a crossbody or a shoulder purse. However, it doesn't match every single outfit, particularly if I'm wearing bright colors in the summer.

I found a Perlina crossbody on sale in both black and in beige and I've styled all three purses with a bright dress.

1) All three purses together.

2) Black Perlina purse: It will go with everything but it is too similar to the dark green purse?

3) Green Coach purse which I already own.

4) Beige Perlina purse: I actually don't like this color at all and feel like it looks weird with my dark/bright colored wardrobe. However, my taste has been proven "wrong" before.

Would you keep either the black (#2) or beige (#4) purse? Or would you reject both and continue the search for a different color? If so, what color do you recommend for summer? (I was thinking yellow)

Thanks!
