I have misrepresented this poor coat! It IS lined, of course, with a silky polyester. When I said it is unlined I merely meant that it does not have extra quilted lining, or soft inner lining, which is pretty common in wool coats intended for sale in Canada. For example, my Hilary Radley coat has a backing on the inside of the poly lining, making it a bit warmer. This one doesn't have that ADDED lining. </p> <p>But of course, it is properly finished and slides on well. </p> <p>Angie, I am glad you approve for trousers because that would be my primary use for this one. I have my red knee length coat and my puffer for wearing with dresses - I might read for this one if I were only going to be in the car or if my hem line conflicted in some way with the red. LIke Sveta, I am not a fan of hems that go below a knee length coat unless they are slim and of low contrast colour. This one would work with the few skirts I have that do not look good with my red or grey coats. </p> <p>YAY! Unlined annoys me for winter coats because I like the feel of "sliding" into coat while wearing the textured sweaters and wools of winter clothing, but it isn't a deal-breaker if it feels good going on and doesn't make you have to wriggle and pull down your sleeves. The coat is navy up top, and then black from hips (where the leather trim is - faux leather, actually). And, as you can tell, it's ALMOST impossible to see the colour block...until you do. The effect is subtle. Really, I did. But it is SO hard to photograph dark colours. </p> <p>Not truly styled, but showing it with a skirt and with pants since I would wear with both (I hope). </p> <p>It needs a good steaming. The fabrication isn't the best - a wool/poly blend that feels a bit rough to my hand, but on the other hand (ha ha), I expect it will wear quite well. It is unlined so not super warm, but I can wear a jacket underneath without any problem. </p> <p>Showing with collar in various positions. It can be worn spread wide open or buttoned partway or buttoned all the way as a funnel collar. </p> <p>Flap pockets on sides are false. Front slash pockets are the real ones. </p> <p>Would love to hear your thoughts. </p>
