Looks great! Take care of it, and it'll last a couple seasons. Worth it.

Awesome fit and great colours! Looks like the straps will stay put which is something I look for in active wear.

I think it looks great on you. My experience is that the pricier suits last and fit better a lot longer so if you love it you may find it is same cost ad buying several bargain suits. I have one that I am tired of that I ish woul wear out

Thanks for the nice comments/reassurances, Marit, Glory, Eliza, and Claire. I find it so easy to see what looks good on others but can't see myself objectively (although taking photos does help, as I've learned on YLF).
Marit-so many of my friends have darling suits from Target. Our closest Target is ~25 minutes away, so I just don't go often. Lucky you to find a bathing suit there. This top (just a top!) is $76! Yes, I bought it (and I do like it, especially after feedback) but it does seem like a lot of $ for 1/2 a swimsuit.

Oh yeah, I LOVE that one! The shirring on the side is really nice. It looks adjustable because of the ties which is nice. And it goes with your rash guard, bonus!

I also think it looks fine. You are trying to meet a lot of criteria, and if this does that for you, and is also attractive, you are ahead of the game.

I like the stripes on you. And the shorts are a great option for sports in the water - no worries about coverage.

I think the pattern looks fine! I think it's just the way most tankini tops are cut that if they cover your stomach, they have that sort of dip in the front hem? If it meets your other requirements I say go for it. (I totally hear you on finding appropriate swimsuit bottom coverage. I just bought a tankini myself and I was thrilled to find a bottom with legs at Target.)

I am looking for a new tankini top--the bottoms in the pic are mine, and while they are nothing special, they cover my rear (even during boogie boarding etc.) Actually, coverage apparently *is* something special, since I can't seem to find anything else that covers just the right amount. This top meets my minimum requirements: colors I like that go with my rash guard, not too skimpy.

But...are the stripes OK? Not sure if the horizontal ones are flattering? (I'm not worried that they make me look wider per se, just not sure if the pattern looks good.) Comments/suggestions welcome.
