They ruin the line of any knit tops that I might wear and don't always lay flat. They're fine with woven tops. Just something to keep in mind. </p> <p>Have you tried the Kut from the Kloth denim bermudas at Nordstrom? They used to have a flap pocket (in fact, those are the ones I have), but I noticed this year they have a slit pocket in the back instead, more like a trouser. As well, denim bermudas will never go out of style so will work next year as well. The white are also good in terms of working from one year to another and if you can keep white clean, I'd go for those as well.</p> <p>I love the look of the Trina Turk shorts and they are not too short (you have fab legs - show them off). Would you feel confident when time comes because you know you have the right shorts, or would you rather go and get a some new ones before the season starts? I guess there will be great stuff next year too. For me, if I really really like an item, I am willing to buy off season and look forward to wearing it when it's time. But I've almost made it a rule to shop at sales times (which means off season) and seldom buy full price items. Maybe just with a woven button down shirt? Sleeves scrunched? Flats? You could try a waist-tie also. Would look very sophisticated and you absolutely have the legs for that length of shorts.</p> <p>I prefer the printed shorts over the white ones but they do look to fit well so you might want to keep them. White shorts are a basic, to be worn year after year.</p> <p>I like both length shorts on you, they just have a different vibe.
